Greetings to the Bionic Brotherhood!
I've just started cycling this past week. My surgeon was not so helpful, so I've been researching on my own with Drs. Clavell and Perito. I also have used Co-Pilot AI to answer many questions as I have the AMX LGX 700 with Tenacio Pump.
So, I was hoping I could lean on the Brotherhood again for your cycling experience, advice and tips:
1. It's only been 4 days, but I can feel the tubing at the base of my penis. Anyone who would
touch my base would easily be able to feel the tubing and actually the top of the pump,
even though I've been pulling down on it for a few weeks. Have you found that as the device
unfolds over time, that the tubing settles where it is not obvious at the base?
2. Do you use anything to sooth the soreness and pain on the scrotum and penis? I was
actually thinking of using that numbing cream they sell at the sex shops to dull sensitivity
for pre-ejaculators. Has anyone tried this? I am also considering using Lidocaine (which is
over-the-counter, topical numbing cream). Another consideration is marijuana balm for
pain. Please share your advice and experience.
3. For those of you who have this device with Tenacio, how long did it take through cycling to
soften up the cylinders so you can not only properly do the Perito Exercise, but so it's not
still rock hard when flaccid?
As always, you all are amazing men and I am grateful for this worldwide brotherhood.
Thank you in advance for your responses and happy new year to you and yours.
Vincent

Re: Cycling Questions
Glad to hear things are going well, Vincent. I only have input on the first question. I have tubing that can be felt at the base, and a lot of guys report having that. My feeling is that it is simply the way things go, no one has ever indicated otherwise.
You’ll get used to it. Mine is mostly noticeable when I am flaccid. I think when erect the tubing stretches out and is less noticeable.
I’ve had maybe 60-70 women handle my junk in some form or another since implantation, and not one has mentioned feeling the tubing, though it is very noticeable to me. A few have noted that I have a very hard testicle, lol, but that’s it.

Born 1974. Implanted 5/21/2024. AMS 700 CX 21cm, 3cm RTE. Penoscrotal. Venous leak my whole life. Pills helped, but hated the side effects; worked less as I aged. Skipped injections. Grateful to bionic brotherhood that helped me make this decision.

Vincent, I also have an LGX but with the earlier model MS pump.
After 9 + months my tubing can be felt at the base when I'm erect but not noticeable when flaccid.
It is not a problem for sex in terms of function. I only have one partner and she hasn't noticed anything.
My pump can be felt easily on the right of my ball sac, but not as easy to see visually.
2. Do you use anything to sooth the soreness and pain on the scrotum and penis? I was

I only used oral pain medication and limited to ibuprofen and paracetamol.
Probably for the first 4 to 6 weeks, and only when needed.
I didn't start cycling until 6 weeks. It was painful at first but manageable without pain relief.
You could try those things but I would avoid putting anything near the stitches/incision.

I don't think the type of pump matters in relation to this question. They all inflate the cylinders.
The limitation to doing Perito exercises properly I found was simply how painful it was.
As the pain diminished over months of cycling it slowly became easier to bend my dick doing Perito movements.
I didn't/don't have any significant hardness when flaccid. Have you tried squeezing the saline out after you deflate?

Re: Cycling Questions
Be careful pulling down the pump. It will come down slowly, be gentle and don’t force it. I got too aggressive with mine, tore something, and ended up with a large hematoma that then formed scar tissue that is only down resolving at week 10. Don’t be like me.
I had a noticeable “shelf” of tubing at the base of my penis, but after weeks of cycling, normal activities, and sex, that is becoming less apparent. I think it just takes time for everything to settle in. Remember this soon there is internal swelling, inflammation, and general trauma to those tissues that will continue to resolve itself over the months to come.

Re: Cycling Questions
Similar experiences here on day 5 of cycling. The tubing and top of pump are easy to palate at the base and still fairly sensitive. I’m already wondering how that’s going to feel turning sex, especially girl on top. But otherwise the cycling has gone smoothly. I’ve been doing 30 minutes twice a day with Perito exercises every 5-10 minutes. Usually the last 5 minutes the shaft is aching and I’m counting the minutes til deflation. But no pain, no gain. Actually I’m happy to already be back to 6 1/2 inches with glans engorgement. While I’m hopeful to get back to my preop length eventually, I would say losing 1/2 inch length to gain a guaranteed, on demand erection is well worth the price!

Re: Cycling Questions
Vincent, I have a Tenacio and it took a couple weeks for the pump bulb start softening and pump deeper than mini-pumps. After a month or so I stopped thinking of the pump bulb as stiff -- but admittedly part of that might have been me learning to handle it better and pumping becoming a 'second nature' kind of thing.

Hey Dan...between you and LetoMan you aren't leaving many women left for the rest of us!
But, you know what? You've now giving me an idea. If anyone ever asks, I will say that there was something implanted in my balls in my 20's when piercings were really in. And that my partners always liked it banging against them. Kinda like an interior cock ring. I LOVE THIS~

Thanks LGX. I actually saw another urologist today who was covering for my surgeon who is on vacation. We determined that I was probably not deflating all the way...he helped me with that today including squeezing my dick when deflating. I have to say, I think I liked when I was pumped up a little. I'll have to make sure I keep it at a level that isn't painful.
Co-Pilot AI also suggested using coconut oil or Aquaphor Healing Ointment. The coconut oil has worked to soothe my pain. I think I need the Aquaphor though for my penis as it looks blotchy red right now.
Thanks again!!!
