Just stumbled on this old post. Not since my implant but I did use them frequently when ED was a major problem.
I haven't needed them post op as the implant is already hard as a fucking rock. So I'm trying to think of reasons to use one.
Before I had ED I would sometimes use a cock ring for a "boost", mainly fuller girth/more engorgement.
Whether that would work now I don't know. Maybe partially pump then put the ring on and continue.
At some point I might try it just for fun, but I would probably start with a softer ring.

As one with soft glans naturally, I still use a soft cozy silicone one for the CS. Girth is at least .5” better but the full glans is key for sensation. It definitely has tradeoffs though since you can make yourself numb if you overdo it.

Numbness is a concern as I'm getting close to having full sensation back on the lower underside of my shaft post implant. Pre ED I could get very horny and sometimes inclined to premature ejaculation. Cock rings were useful in controlling that along with desensitizing creams. Now I often take longer to orgasm, which is a double edged sword. I now really enjoy the feeling of having sex for as long as possible, and I'm becoming skilled at controlling when I climax, but sometimes eventually tire out and need to recharge. My glans is also soft but has full sensation, and the implant tips are a long way in when I'm erect, so it's not floppy. I do get sudden glans and shaft engorgement at the point of orgasm. So any significant numbness would be unwanted.

Same here. It is not as hard as with the ring of course but on ejaculation everything fills up better. The trick is find your perfect size, width, and elasticity so it benefits just enough.

Yes that will be the challenge. Eventually I'll go through my small collection of rings and see what works.

Occasionally use them, cozy to very tight, around the balls too.
All good. As the did before the implant then can add some zest to intimacy
