Post op issues and my opinion about them

Postby Colby-jack__ » Sun Dec 21, 2025 11:26 am

Crossposting w reddit:

Background: im 4 months post op and have had a pretty great experience but I've faced most of the temporary challenges we've all hit. Stiffness, soreness, pain, dog ears, weird shapes, etc.

They all seem to come and go and all seem to be pretty standard and temporary.

Here's my (unpopular?) working theory today: gentle post op VED use helps all these things.

I know a lot of guys dont think postop ved use is necessary or beneficial and can harm your implant. Heres What I've found: it takes some getting used to (for SURE) but it gets much more comfortable quickly and it really helps. In 3 or 4 weeks of doing it for 12 minutes 2x a day ive seen my implant soften (in a good way) and stretch. Its improved my flacid hang so its more natural and ive gained almost half an inch in length. Its also REALLY helped with glans engorgement. Ive felt some minor pains along the way too.

I think what is happening here is the VED use is accelerating the healing process so the pains and the gains would have happened anyway, the VED use is just accelerating it all.

When i first started, I felt the tubing a lot and had some pain in my glans that felt like pulling. Both of these went away within about 4 days (dont go heavy with the suction or time. Especially at first). Now I can easily do the 12 minutes twice a day with no pain at all. My implant is softer (in a really good way). Dog ears is 100% gone and my dick feels meatier and less plastic and bigger and my tubing is less pronounced. Its also REALLY helped with glans engorgement.

Also important to note: when i used the Ved before surgery (and i did a lot) the "gains" went away fairly quickly (though tge stretching was still very beneficial). Now they seem to last more. Like the gains are more permanent (and less puffiness and swelling).

Has anyone else had an experience like this?

Thanks for sharing your experience, Colby!

How many days post op did you start your VED routine? Did your doctor approve or you are doing it on your own? Do you pump your implant 100% before applying the VED? Are you using bathmate?
