AMS CXR VS LGX

Postby Ms_Man84 » Thu Dec 18, 2025 4:53 pm

I'm currently considering a revision from a consultant after not being satisfied with the implant I got in Sept 2024.

I had the CXR inserted and feel I not only lost length but girth as well.
This coupled with complications after the fact with a surface infection and further surgery to remove the foreskin (due to it restricting the glans) and lift the glans has left me feeling like something wasn't right.

I've since gotten a second opinion from another more experienced surgeon who said he believes the previous surgeon did the best he probably thought he could do. I don't know if that means he played it safe or what.

He told me he could do something but wouldn't commit to me gaining anymore than a cm following it all. He said potentially I would because the model I have isn't designed for stretching.

He suggested the LGX to replace the CXR. Where he said he might use the existing pump, tubes and reservoir.

He also advised of the risks and potential tissue loss or damage that might leave me worse of than what I am now.

I'm totally torn with not wanting to make anything worse and the potential to get closer to what I had.

I'm going to ring my previous surgeon to ask why he fitted the CXR model because I'm not sure if I had internal scaring or why he used that one.

My question is has anyone here gone from the CXR to another model and if so what were the pros and cons of it?

Also; has anyone experienced any collapse or loss of tissue and been worse off when getting another implant?

If it was me, I would use a VED every day to see if I could reach my previous size. Then, when the surgeon sizes you he can use the biggest implant possible. I wouldn't count on the LGX doing it all by itself.

If you are not obviously undersized (the implant doesn’t extend into your glans, the glans is floppy as a result), then personally I would not do it. For me, a potential extra centimeter is not worth the risks and the time spent sitting on the sidelines as a result.

I don’t have an LGX, I have a CX. But from what I have read on this board the length-extending benefits of the LGX are perceived as overstated.

I say all that as someone not overly-concerned with size. I had a 4.75 inch dick after implantation that eventually got back to a bit over 6 inches, and it made little difference to my enjoyment or really to my partners’.

Everyone is different. If you are fundamentally unhappy with yourself being that small bit shorter, and are willing to accept the costs and risks even if a better outcome is uncertain, then perhaps you want to take the chance. But I wouldn’t.
50. Implanted 5/21/2024 at Kaiser SSF. AMS 700 CX 21cm, 3cm RTE. Penoscrotal. Venous leak my whole life. Pills helped, but hated the side effects; worked less as I aged. Skipped injections. Grateful to bionic brotherhood that helped me make this decision.
