12 mo. Post Implant - Questions

Postby Dmac27 » Tue Dec 16, 2025 2:52 pm

I’m a recent, 12-month post-implant benefactor.
Overall I’m very pleased with the outcome. The post-surgery healing phase was extended for me and I dealt with a lot of excessive and extended swelling in
my scrotum where the pump was placed.

I do have a few Qs that I have been wrestling with:

1) what type of underwear do you recommend? I find myself “going commando” when at home, as this is most comfortable.
I am a very active person and ride performance horses on a daily basis, forcing me to wear supportive underwear with a pouch (eg. Sheath brand).
Does anyone have a recommendation for a different brand that provides adequate support and protection?

2) should I be cycling my pump on a regular basis and if so how often and for how long? I usually have intercourse 1X per week with my spouse.
If I don’t cycle will I risk loosing size?

3) do I run a risk of premature component failure due to my active lifestyle (eg. Horseback riding)?

4) I noticed that my urine stream appears to be weaker since the implant. Is this because of the pressure of the tubes in my penis? Note, I don’t have any prostate issues whatsoever.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

I just wear boxer briefs, but you should use something with support for riding horses. Can't recommend anything for that, sorry. If you are one year post implant it might be time to quit cycling. Doubt you'll lose size from not using it as often.
Extreme sports may cause premature failure of an implant, but until it breaks and the doc removes it no one can say if some extreme sport caused it.
A catheter insertion changes your flow I believe. Not sure why but ever since my implant mine flow has been weaker. I doubt it's the cylinders causing any restriction.

I'm only two months post-surgery. I've already bought x-bionic combat energizer briefs. They have great compression, and they help keep my Titan in place and even hide it under my clothes. I wear them when I go on long walks, which I've already started doing to stay in shape until I can return to my regular workouts. You can also check out other x-bionic briefs with less compression. For example, the Invent model. Honestly, if it weren't for these briefs, I don't know how I'd leave the house with this dick sticking out. But wearing them all the time would be uncomfortable.

Mi chiedo come mai. Ma ne sono più che contento

Dmac27, here's a belated welcome to the bionic brotherhood ! I also had an unusually rough recovery due to swelling, edema down my legs, and large hematoma in my scrotum. Not fun :( I'm nearing 1 year post-op and either cycle or have sex at least once a day. I am going to check with my Dr about the frequency of cycling going forward. Want to keep things stretched and in good shape, but don't want to encourage premature wear.

Perito says to cycle twice daily for a year and then just sex or any use a couple times a week is sufficient. That’s what I did and usually use it twice weekly and occasionally 3 times a week. Never been an issue
