How should pumping feel?
A little over two months out. I can only pump a few times before the bulb gets too hard to pump further. I don't have pain, so does anyone know what's preventing me from pumping more? I'm still an inch down in size.
10/8/25 Age 27. Diagnosed with venous leak. Could not maintain without constant stimulation. Maybe I went for implant prematurely, too early to tell. Concerns are tubing at base, size, and new curve I never had before. Dr Darshan Patel. AMS 700CX 21+3

Are your cylinders rock hard at this point?

Yes, we probably need more information. Once the pump is too hard to press do you have an erection firm enough for penetration?
Or is it still partially flaccid? At 2 months it's still very early in your recovery and everything is still healing and settling in.
Also have you tried bending the penis in all directions (carefully), then trying to pump further (aka Perito "The Exercise")?

Re: How should pumping feel?
Just some tips to try and think about.
As said 2 months is early in the healing process.
The bulb "usually" doesn't soften until the 12 month mark.
Try a heating pad or take a warm(er) bath to warm up the bulb. Hot tubs help.
Use a microfiber rag to hold the bulb in your fingers for grip and padding to the scrotum. This is a major tip!
If you're fully deflated and wrung out the cylinders; your first squeeze of the bulb should feel like a squish. The next few pumps should be easier and think of that point squeezing it like CPR compressions.
Practice Practice Practice! The more you try pumping even if they're small pumps, you will get better and the pump will become lubricated and broke in.
You should be able to inflate, deflate it at any point no matter what percentage it's inflated at.
At your 12 month point you will be so familiar with the bulb that you will notice it soften.
Trust the process, it gets better.

Re: How should pumping feel?
I'm at almost 3 years, and I've never been able to fully squeeze my pump.
It has softened somewhat, but it still only feels to squeeze about halfway, and it takes 50 to 60+ pumps to get fully erect, at which point the pump is solid.
I've just accepted that that is the way it is.

I’m surprised you guys still have hard pumps at a year or longer. I’m at 8 weeks and my Titan Classic is *way* softer than at first, I have no issues fully compressing it. One thing I do is try to shift my grip and pump from different directions, to keep the pump bulb from getting stressed in only once direction.

Yea, it gets way softer over time. Before the implant, I squeezed that keychain demo version of the classic pump and thought there was no way I was going to be able to be comfortable pumping that thing up. Right after surgery, the classic felt just like that keychain thing had been implanted. But now, after 8 months, the classic pump is way, way softer and really easy. It still feels like a hard little ball when compared to a testicle, but once it's squeezed it's pretty obvious how soft it really is.

Re: How should pumping feel?
I remember those days!! Almost 4 years ago but my pump was rock hard! I have a very strong grip and I would two hand that thing and then bend the mess out of the implant and get some more in it. Perito suggests twice a day cycling up to the first year to break everything in and hit it softened up so that it’s much easier. Give it time….

The bulb gets hard and can only do small pumps. Should I be pumping to the point of pain? I’m still half an inch down on girth and length right now

I think a small amount of pain indicates the tissues stretching. I was pretty aggressive cycling, and I’d have pretty significant pain and I would keep it that way until it was enough that I felt I had to deflate.
I have little pain now, I think taking that pain up front contributed to getting to a place of comfortable inflation sooner.
