Hello,
I am a 58M struggling with ED and very seriously considering an implant. I am still able to have nocturnal erections, but for a mix of reasons, mostly psychogenic, I struggle to get erections during the day and loose them quickly.
Among the topics I am researching is how difficult it is to master pumping (number of press, difficulty to locate pump) and how do you typically integrate pumping it up in the natural phase of an intercourse.
I am sure there are a lot of different strategies, thank you for sharing !

Mastering pumping is like mastering riding a bike.
Once you get it-you never forget it.
In theory it's about as basic as it gets.
1.Locate a table grape sized pump in your sack
2.Gently press on that pump until you feel a "pop"
3. Continue pumping until your General is saluting back at you.
4....HAVE FUN !
You'll get it.

Have you tried other methods to get an erection? Have you consulted a urologist? Getting an implant is not the first thing you should try, in fact insurance may want to see that other methods failed.
Pumping up an implant is something you'll figure out soon enough. Immediately after surgery swelling and soreness can make that difficult. It will also take time for the pump bulb and cylinders to soften up a bit. I use both hands/all fingers to hold the bulb securely and squeeze it between my left thumb and right first finger, keeping my finger bent so the bulb rests in the bend. The number of pumps to inflate fully will vary by how hard you squeeze. (full pump or partial pump) Once you achieve an erection intercourse is the same as always, although the first few times may make you sore.
If you're married or in a relationship pumping becomes part of foreplay. If you're a single guy you'll need to figure out ways to inflate on the sly.

Thank you, real first hand account are the best.
I am still exploring a few alternatives with my urologist, but implant seems unavoidable.
