Before you were implanted, how bad was it?

AMS LGX. In my case I had 100% profound ED caused solely by a nerve sparing radical prostatectomy to address prostate cancer.
Before that I had normal erectile function occasionally aided by Viagra (generic Sildanefil).

Were you getting any natural erections at all? Or semis?

Absolute zero engorgement of any kind. 100% limp dick 24/7.

Were you getting any morning wood at all?

Same answer.

How good were your erections on either pills or injections (or both) at maximum doses?

Pills did almost nothing whatsoever at any dose (Sildanefil and Tadalafil). Trivial engorgement with Tadalafil only.
Trimix injections worked well for a relatively short period until they didn't due to fibrosis/scarring.

Had you shrunk in size?

Yes, I immediately lost size after the prostatectomy, which continued to progress until I started to use a VED for both rehab and sex.
The VED use stopped further losses and eventually turned things around. Ultimately I recovered most of my flaccid size pre implant.
Erect size can only be estimated as ultimately I could only get one with a VED, but I believe that also recovered based on my implant results.

Any decreased sensitivity in the shaft/glans?

No, in fact sensitivity was increased initially after my RP then stabilized back to normal.
71, married, Sydney Oz. PC/nerve sparing RRP Mar 22 then profound ED. Tried pills, Trimix inj, focal shockwave, VED.
Implanted Mar 6 2025 AMS 700 LGX 21cm x 12mm, no RTEs, MS pump, Penoscrotal. Back to 6.5" BPEL @ 9m.
Recovery great but have a bend.

Can't wait to read your experiences with the implant. What are your thoughts on using Trimix/Bimix for masturbation? Can it be used 3-6 times weekly for masturbation alone? I've only used it a handful of times for sex.

You certainly could, and I know at least one other member that does that. I never did, because the trimix would give me long lasting erections that I generally didn’t want to retain after a 15min or so masturbation session.

Have you tried using a VED and rings instead? That worked very well for me for a number oof years.

Magic Rat, you've gone too far. I think you realize that implantation is your only option. I'm surprised you managed to drag it out for so long with pills, injections, and bandages. My doctors even tried to tie off my veins. After that operation, my life turned into hell. You can read my first post on the forum. After that, I waited another three years, which I now deeply regret. On the other hand, I wasn't ready for implantation due to my health, as I went from being a practically healthy person who could have lived another 10 years on inhibitors to being impotent with a damaged penis. Over those three years, my length has decreased due to fibrosis. If you already have fibrosis, you need to get an implant right now! Because later you'll tear your hair out, realizing you've lost both the most priceless things in life—time and the sight of a penis. It doesn't seem to reduce it for now, but then one day you notice that your penis has shrunk by 1 or 2 cm, and even an implant won't help restore its lost shape. With the LGX alone, you might gain a little in a year (I personally know several guys like that). Time is not on her side right now. I've been in your position and understand perfectly well what it's like and how difficult it is. As for the implant model, I sincerely recommend you look at the AMS, which is superior to the Coloplast in almost every way. I had the Titan implant installed almost two months ago, and I regret not choosing the CX. But I must say that I had a very complex reconstructive surgery with scar tissue excision after those charlatans performed vein ligation on me. Titan is very inconvenient in everyday life: its appearance, the pump function, the ability to conceal it (something many don't consider before surgery, and then don't know what to do with it or where to hide it), the feeling of hard plastic in the penis, and the folds. These are all disadvantages of coloplast, which are a compromise for greater erectile rigidity and girth. But I can tell you from personal experience that not even the most complete nymphomaniac would need the unnatural rigidity of titanium and such incredible girth. I've spoken with many guys who have Titan, and I realized that they themselves are afraid to admit they made the wrong choice, or they've simply left with what their surgeons gave them and are content with what they have, not knowing that something better exists. I'm honest, I tell it like it is, and I'm currently going through a difficult psychological adjustment to Titan. It's hard to imagine returning to my cyclical fitness routine that takes up most of my life. On the other hand, I realize it might be a good thing I was the first to choose Titan and experience it for myself. When I need a refit, I'll definitely never choose Titan again. And I think that's life; its tubes will wear out quickly. As soon as I get on the highway, it's finished. As for the lifetime warranty, it's clear it's just a marketing ploy for fools, because everyone knows that Coloplast tubes break far more often than AMS cylinders. Perhaps after I start using it, I'll change my mind, but for now I'm a bit shocked, even with all the Titan's downsides. Your penis will be flaccid 99% of the time and only erect 1%, even if you're a porn star. So think about that.

Your story sounds very familiar. I used the pills and they usually worked for a while but I was always at risk of losing my erection if intercourse was delayed and the fear of losing my erection made me a quick cummer. In my late fifties the pills seldom worked even when I used significantly more than the recommended max dose. I went the injection route but those didn’t work.
My doctor said my leakage had worsened and I’d never (or rarely) be @ble to have intercourse. I’d still get morning wood but it wilted when I tried to use it. My wife and I practiced intimacy without intercourse and while it was good, it wasn’t intercourse.
I got my implant about 11 months ago and wish I had done it a decade earlier. I’ve renamed my dick “EveryReady” because I can go any time. And I am so much more relaxed. No fear of losing my erection before intercourse so foreplay (my wife’s favorite part) can go on as long as she wants…but as our dogs know, it ain’t over til the fat guy screams!
