To partially inflate or not (when flaccid)

I have recently had a Rigicon revision. I am pumped up semi erect until I can recommence the cycling process. Will be starting again in a week or so.

What I noticed prior to having the revision was that when I was in a flaccid state the penis was still quite full. It felt at times uncomfortably large. (Yes I know in the scheme of things it really is just a 1st world problem)

I guess the logic is that when you deflate, the saline that was previously under pressure in the cylinders would go back up to the reservoir (after you press the deflate button and squeeze). Because the reservoir is ‘north’ or above the cylinders the fluid would then naturally gravitate back to the cylinders and everything would be at a balanced pressure. This would mean that the cylinders would fill back up to a degree but still be soft and pliable because it was not under pressure.

It was suggested that I could squeeze out a lot of the saline and then just squeeze the pump once. Logic being that the valve would be activated and no more saline could enter the cylinders and as well leave it.

This way there should be less fluid ‘trapped’ in the cylinders and it should therefore reduce the full effect.

My questions are:-
Does this logic make sense and work (to reduce the fullness feeling)?

Perhaps more importantly, if it was effective would this have any potential long term impact on the longevity of the implant? (My concern is that a valve that is activated to be kept shut for long periods of time may wear out sooner)

One last thing. I am presuming that the mechanics of the valve in a Rigicon device would be similar to the other devices that are available (eg Coloplast etc). I have no idea!

Yes your logic makes sense to me Wodjathat. I don't see why it would cause any abnormal wear. I can't comment on the Rigicon pump as I don't have one, but I just tried the same experiment with my LGX/MS pump and it seems to work. I think that principle should probably work for any IPP but the specifics of how you do it might be different. I actually don't bother to try and deflate mine further. I like the full feeling and my dick usually hangs reasonably low without further adjustment. But squeezing a bit more saline out and locking the pump valve I can get it to about 5:30 pm.

Just trying to get my head around 5:30. Guessing that means it is almost pointing down almost straight to the ground or South if that makes sense.

So where does it hang if you don’t squeeze / lock out the saline? I’m imagining it would perhaps say be at 4:00? (3:00pm would mean that it was sticking straight out from the body).

I recall that when I had my first implant and had that full feeling that I found it most comfortable to keep it straight up (but it would ‘fall’ to one side if that makes sense)

It just felt too full to let hang and bend downwards
