Seroma

Postby Thickskinned » Fri Dec 05, 2025 8:10 pm

Has anyone had a seroma around the pump?
I had a revision surgery back in September of this year, it hasn’t even remotely started to go away.

Thickskinned, sorry to hear you are dealing with that. I'll admit I didn't know what that was until I Google'd it. Has it impaired cycling or sex ? From what I read a common treatment is to use a needle to drain the fluid. What has your Dr said about the condition and potential treatment(s) ?

I have not been able to cycle or have sex!
The pump is encased in an egg shaped cocoon full of fluid! I’m unable to squeeze the bulb or find the release valve.
Dr. Says, “It may resolve itself, or it may be indefinite !” Doesn’t want to do anything yet. Wait and see I guess.
I’m going to be in touch with him this week to get it resolved.
Unfortunately, draining it can introduce bacteria into the capsule infecting the whole implant.

which doctor operated?

one tip: change doctor
LGX 18 + 1. 2023/12
Pre-OP VED length: 5.5". Post-OP: 4". At 3 months post-op: 5". At 1 yr: 5,3"
Cycling with a lot of pain for the first 5 months, now improving
If you have a motorcycle stop using it (ED with motorcycle accident).

Was it just around the pump or in the penis as well? What did you do to relieve it? If anything.

Only around the pump. I always had to squeeze the fluid away (it kind of went up) to operate the pump. I did nothing, just waited and it went away on it‘s own. Just wait… I know it’s annoying but most likely it will go away.
