Swelling
Hey guys, I just need a boost of confidence right now. Two days out from the surgery and my dick and balls are so swollen that it looks like I have elephantitis. My surgeon doesn’t seem too concerned, but it’s quite uncomfortable and looks bizarre. How many days postop before the swelling went down for you guys? My surgeon seemed to think it would take a few days at least, but said it would be slow going.

Re: Swelling
It will take some days, but don't worry, it will go away.
As long you can pee, it's nothing dangerous.
You could also use some ice pads to make the swelling down quicker.

Re: Swelling
Yeah, I’ve been peeing since yesterday when they took the catheter out. Still stings a little bit, and sprays in various directions, but all good. Just peeing in the shower just so I don’t spray all over my toilet.
Also, just moved my bowels for the first time so happy to get that out of the way! One step at the time…

Re: Swelling
Gringoinparadise, I had a rougher recovery than most, and it took almost 8 weeks before the swelling went down enough to cycle. Anything less than that and you'll be way ahead of where I was.
Be patient, ice, and heal.

Re: Swelling
Sorry to hear how uncomfortable you are. Very normal to have lots of swelling and soreness. Time is the healer, and it is sometimes slow going. As mentioned, ice packs can help the swelling go down. Rest and chill on the couch.
