Do Titan cylinders soften over time?

Postby AntonS » Fri Dec 05, 2025 4:39 pm

Could you please tell me if Titan cylinders soften over time?
Today is my 44th day since implantation.
I didn't have any coloplasty folds, but they are clearly palpable inside. The left cylinder, as I mentioned, is slightly displaced toward the swelling of the postoperative channel through which the surgeon removed the scar tissue. At first, I had very hard pads inside, sticking out on all sides. I was shocked! Now these folds have become much softer. If three weeks ago they were like the sharp edges of a crushed Coke bottle, now they have become more rubbery, that is, softer. My penis, when deflated, has become very thick and flattened, like a shovel. I thought the main problem with deflated coloplasty was the dog ears, but I didn't know that even deflated, Titan's penis would be completely visible and hard on the surface, which really does feel like a wooden stick. This is very annoying in everyday life. I bend over, all the tissues flex and unflex, and Titan's penis gets in the way because it simply doesn't bend. It looks like something pliable that's still inflating. Will it really stay like this forever? I can't figure out how I'll hide it under clothes. It doesn't go down, but rather sticks out like a hump. I don't know where to look when I'm in public. So, mine is still deflated, relatively tame. And what do I do? Who else has a long penis? Many people here write that Titan softens over time and bottoms out. But they say that some believe it stays the same as it is now.
I still can't figure out how I'm going to put on my running tights and road cycling shorts. It'll look ridiculous, but only to others, not to me. For me, it'll be downright inappropriate. And those who write here that they're proud of their bulge—I think that's just idiotic.

I've asked here a hundred times which implant is better and suitable for sports, and I've had tests done, and everything's fine, no one has had any problems. But for now, my Titan simply limits my natural movements. I'm trying to get used to it, but it's been a struggle so far.

Now I completely agree with some of the guys I've spoken to here who switched from the Titan to the CX, even while the Titan was still working, that the CX is better in every way than the Titan.

Do the Titan cylinders soften over time, and does the bulge in my pants become less pronounced? Does it start to hang down instead of sticking out? Or is it just the consequences?
38, Active, athletic, marathon runner. Clipped after vein ligation. Tried embolization, wich not help. Long time choosing between CX and Titan. I ended up getting a Titan One-Touch 22 cm with a 1 cm RTE right. Before implant 6,4/6,3; after 5,8/?

Yes, the cylinders will soften but it will take longer than 6 weeks. Getting implanted isn't a quick recovery. It took me 6 months to feel OK with mine, and it was one year before everything felt close to normal. Even at 6 years out my cylinders are still stiff enough to feel.

Do the Titan cylinders soften over time,
- YES

and does the bulge in my pants become less pronounced?
. YES

Does it start to hang down instead of sticking out?
YES

Or is it just the consequences?
Temporarily Yes. At only 6 weeks, you’re very early in the recovery process. Everything you questioned are things everyone initially goes through with this surgery. Try to chill out and think of it as a short term inconvenience for a long term improvement. When you get to 6 months, I predict you’ll be singing a completely different tune.

Only regret; Not getting the implant sooner.

I'm 23 days out now. Started cycling yesterday and was advised I can point the penis down/sideways or whatever.

I'm now finding it very hard to make the implant comfortable and fully concealed. If I point it down in my pants it sort of pokes out at an angle like I've got a rising erection in my pants. Pointing it to the side is sore and inconvenient, the cylinders don't like being forced thay way. Pointing it up wards tucked in at my belt line seemed to be the most discreet and maybe even most comfortable method so far but living like that is inconvenient and restrictive.

Irishlad,

It will all soften up so much.
Things that help (in my opinion)
Cycling
Running
Sauna
Perito THE exercises
Unpopular opinion: light and careful VED

I found anytime I could power through and make my implant uncomfortable it rewards me with softening or expanding or a better hang.

I try to alternate which direction I point things when I can.

Ive been using my VED gently and really liking how its softening the cylinders. It for sure took 2 weeks to get used to it but it has really helped with blood flow, cylinder softening and glans engorgment.

Colby-Jack, When you say light VED use after implant of Titan, how much pressure and how much time do you use? I used a VED with an AMS CX before receiving a revision to a Titan on 11/12 and would like to start VED after my doctor clears me for sex.

It does hang a little looser over time, but I don't think you'll really ever be comfortable wearing something like tights with a titan, or any implant for that matter. They just don't bend and squish away like a normal penis. I've had to adapt to wearing much looser pants and underwear, I would never think of wearing tights.

I haven't started running or cycling yet because I'm still sore and haven't been cleared yet for heavy exercise.

Haven't tried the Perito exercises yet but might start today and integrate them into my daily cycling routine.

I wouldn't be comfortable doing VED yet in case it sucks the glans off the cylinders and causes them to dislodge but will maybe consider that later down the line.

Cheers.

How long does it take for then to soften and become super comfortable so I can conceal everything easily and get on with normal day to day life?

I would never wear mega tight pants anyway but I have one or two pairs of trousers that are a nice tight fit around the pelvis and I wouldn't want to throw them out. I wonder if I'll be able to comfortably just tuck the penis up or point it to the side on occasions when I want to wear them clothes.
