Surgery postponed.

Postby Azchris » Thu Dec 04, 2025 5:10 pm

:| Welp. I was scheduled fo :| r Jan 13th for my surgery with the ams 700cx. I've been nervous, excited, scared and questioning everything, pretty much any and all emotions before any surgery especially one of this magnitude. I guess my dr is transitioning to a new practice in the new year and they said i need to schedule the surgery under a new tax id number. I dont really even understand it all. So now I have an office appt on Jan 13th instead of surgery. Bummer. The shots still work but have had to increase dosage and quite frankly tired of poking myself in the dick and the side affects that come with it. I've had this surgery planned for last 3 months so hoping it's not guna be another long wait.. has anyone else had all these emotions and questioning your decision? I guess im afraid of losing significant size or if something goes wrong and lose my ability completely scares the shit outta me. I am working with one the top surgeons in az for implants so I really don't want to look for a different Dr. Just figured id hop on here and vent real quick. I dont post much on here but read alot of your guys stories and it's been really helpful to know im not alone in all this

Azchris, really sorry to hear about the delay. I can relate because I was delayed twice from Oct 24 to Feb 25. First the Dr had to reschedule, then I came down with COVID just before the second scheduled surgery. I think most of us can relate to your concerns, the risks are real, but the fact is this solution has a very high satisfaction rating in spite of the small percentage of less-than-desired outcomes. And even in those cases, this forum is filled with stories of guys who had revisions that worked out right. Hang in there. I think it helps to go back and reread threads with stories about how the capabilities of the implant really changed guys' lives :) That's real. I'm one of them.

Sorry to hear that. You would think the doctor would have known about the change before they scheduled your surgery. Let him know how nervous and anxious you are, don't want to wait too long. It's common to have all those emotions running through your brain. This is not a picnic in the park; it is one tough surgery to get through mentally as well as physically.
Best of Luck!

Thank you Chuck for sharing your experiance and encouragement. It's definitely frustrating to say the least. I can't expect everything to be smooth sailing and everything is in God's perfect timing. Appreciate your feedback

Thanks man I appreciate it and I am super grateful for this site. It's not like it something you just go and talk to anyone about.

That's what im saying bro. I guess it was a quick change that they weren't expecting. Just hopeful when I see him on the 13th of Jan he can get me scheduled alot sooner then last time. I really want my life and confidence back. It really affects so many aspects of your life that you never think about until your actually going thru it
