People who are happy with their implant think the ones who are not happy are "trolls", and vice versa. The truth is anything can happen if you do a surgery, so anyone who does this need to be aware of the risks.

I don’t think people who are unhappy with their implant are trolls. I think *one guy* was engaged in a “concern troll” operation. It’s a game some weird guys play on the internet, it’s a well documented phenomenon. That one guy operated a number of alternative accounts. When that guy disappeared (whether banned or lost interest because he’d been outed, it’s unclear), all the alt accounts shut up, too. The guy did things like make his alt accounts vote for dissatisfaction in the polls, because these guys get off on “concern trolling”, which is pretending to be concerned about people with some affliction (for example, ED), but really just causing discomfort inside the community, in his case by making it seems that getting an implant was a lot more dangerous than it was and led to negative outcomes.

Believe me… it’s silly and stupid, I don’t get it. But it is pretty evident that was what was going on with that one guy.

I'm honestly surprised he hasn't come back with a different account.
I did a pole about 6 months to do with satisfaction, I can't remember the exact numbers now but it was mostly really high satisfaction then all of a sudden there were 5 not satisfied votes in a row. It definitely looked suspicious but I didn't say anything, I'm pretty sure it was him trying to skew the results
43, ED since late 20's, Pills on and off since then increasing strengths with inconsistent results. Now 5mg Cialis daily and either 20mg Cialis or 100mg Viagra
Not sure if it's Psychological or Physiological, long-term use of SSRI's probably hasn't helped

Yeah, it was your poll, here is the thread: viewtopic.php?t=26637

You saw the same thing I did, a quick succession of votes against. Honestly, that along with some info I received from a few other brothers convinced me to look a bit closer at what he was doing, which is how I figured out he was running multiple alt accounts.

As for why he never came back: from my research on how this type of troll operates, apparently the whole appeal to them is not getting discovered. The game is how much discord they can sow before people find out they are not actually a member of the afflicted group. Once he decided he had lost here, he likely moved on to bug someone else.

From what I know, Mark1974 and duke_cicero also had the subcoronal approach. Mark1974, if you're reading this, hope you're well, brother.

My surgeon told me that the subcoronal approach has a lower risk of infection than the penoscrotal approach, and that it also carries a lower risk of hematoma compared to the PS. He does all 3 approaches.

I’m not comfortable putting out his name publicly. I’ll just say that if you search his last name you’ll get 3,000+ hits, and many members here consider him one of the top five in the US. I'll also say that he’s been awesome as a person to me.
I still look in once in a while

I plan on giving an update after Xmas, so I have close to six months after the removal operation.

Of coure anything resemblong an erection is gone, but I am still able to masturbate and climax, but orgasm is inconsistent.

I think my surgeon did the best job possible for the surgeries he did, but I really wish he had done penoscrotal instead of subcoronal. He had his reasoning, but I've learned that subcoronal threatens more nerve damage than other techniques. i've never completely recovered my frenulum sensation and orgasm is difficult to reach with soft penis and diminished frenulum sensation

In the new year I will mostly post in the DE forum since implants is no longer an interest of mine

And yes, I regret getting implant, but don't regret having removed two months later

If he used the same IP address or a small subset for all the accounts, the admins might have blocked his IP entirely which would shut him up unless he used a VPN with a large IP pool.

I did consider it Discover, but I still felt threatened that it might erode with my sleeping habits ( I am mostly a stomach sleeper). I also felt discouraged by photographs I had seen of guys with arterial of kidney disease where their implants had eroded through the penis. I also was scared of a potential disaster when I needed a revision surgery.

WIth my mindset I should never have put in an implant. Having normal, organic age related ED wasn't that bad at all in retrospect. Now that I've been castrated I look back and it seemed like heaven

I just had an interesting conversation with Grok, and it said (while providing some charts) that by 2028 - 2030 mechanical failure with a penile implant will be near to absolute zero (not counting potential complications from infection, though those rates will also be reduced). That’s the thing about the implant; the tech will only get better. See the post I put up here about the Coloplast’s imminent new tubing.

This is incredibly good news, the option of having an erection on demand with no concerns regarding mechanical issues.

This is interesting. Is this good news for guys like me who are 40 and considering it within the next few years?

If you have nothing to lose already (your penis absolutely does not work), then do it. But if your penis still works 50%, i recommend you to try everything before the implant.

Injections still work fairly well for me. Ive used them for nearly 7 years and sick of it. Now I can get just one erection a night. Im tired of running to the bathroom for 10 minutes before sex. Tired of making sure I've got them on me. Tired of bouncers asking me what they are.

Fuck it. Im old enough to go all or nothing. Get that bicycle pump in my slug now.

Interested in following your story. Ive just turned 40 from Essex and too have seen Dr Ralph, who advised me to carry on using pills and possibly injections as they work somewhat. I think ultimately I will need an implant though in the long term. Have you been given the go ahead by David?
