Rigicon PHANTOM Technique?

My pre-op notes indicate that my surgeon will use the Phantom Technique aka Ghost Technique to install the Rigicon Infla10 Pulse DIPP.

Can someone explain what is the Phantom Technique or Ghost Technique? Is it the similar to the No Touching Technique?

Additionally, what is the No Touching Technique? Does it imply that the surgical team will not touch me and will instead use robots?

“Phantom Technique” seems to be Rigicon’s rebranding of infrapubic incision for surgical approach. The scar will be hidden in the pubic hair at the base of the penis.

This isn’t new. Just marketing.

Some surgeons prefer infrapubic (on top of the base of the penis) some prefer penoscrotal (incision made in the scrotum).

They are both valid and acceptable techniques. There is LOTS already written about them here so I won’t repeat it. But if you use the search bar near thr top of the implant category you’ll find hundreds of posts about it.

I had Peniscrotal approach and had a vertical incision on the center seam of the scrotum. My incision disappeared within weeks and it’s impossible to find now. There are pics in my journal (link in my signature).

The “No-Touch” technique isn’t referring to a robotic procedure. It’s referring to sterility and cleanliness in the way they minimize contact with the device as it is being implanted. This should translate to a lower risk of infection.

The no-touch aspect seems important to me. The phantom technique doesn’t.


Find a surgeon you trust that seems to have good results and does a LOT of implants. Then trust them to do it the way THEY are used to doing it. That way you have the best chance of being another example of their good results.
