Implant diary

Postby Ljammmm » Tue Nov 25, 2025 5:12 pm

Hi all,

Lying here freshly implanted this morning, thought I would write a diary and hopfully people get as much use from it as I have with other ones.

Bit about me, im 33 and had ed for about 5 years. I could still get an erextion but it was inconsistent, weak and could not stay up needing constant stimulation. Started from mild peyronie's disease, could have lived with the curve if the erections were solid, and I've no doubt there was a mental aspect to this to. Ed has been getting worse so seemed like a good time to go for it.

Pre op dims: around 5.75" length 5.5 - 6 in girth (found this hard to measure) glans seemed decent. I was maybe 6" length before peyronie's, but i reckon the loss in length is in part the curve not the actual length being less, there is a bit of hourglassing lower down.

Uk based and went to Dr Ralph, as he seems to be a industry leader here. He recommended a titan, advice i followed. He was very helpful and friendly pre op. Went private amd the cost was circa 15k.

DAY 1

Was booked in the arrive at 7am, stayed in a hotel local to the hospital due to the early start. This wasn't cheap but the only option with train times.

Was told no food for 5 hours and and water for 2 prior to arrival. I did cheat and have a glass of water an hour before when I woke up at 6am. Told them and it was no issue, suspect it was more aimed at coffee or tea.

Arrived at 7am was taken to my room and met the nurse who was going to be looking after me all day. She was fantastic so warm and friendly, cannot praise her highly enough.

Was gowned up by half 7. The anesthesiologist popped in at 8 to confirm allergies etc. Followed by Dr Ralph, who went through a few final questions and did a consent form.

Soon after this i was getting my anesthesia, must of been under the knife for 9am. They did use an antidepressant (cant remember name) as i was so nervous.

Bit of a blur coming back to the room but say 10:30am by the time I looked at my phone.

Since then there isn't much to report I'm staying the night so have a catheter and a drain in and my penis in bandaged, so cannot comment on size, shape or feeling.

What I will add is the pain is no where near as bad as I prepared myself for, by 6pm I was up stretching my legs, im sat up straight relatively comfortably. They have given me pain meds but not a lot I don't think and don't feel out of it in anyway so assume I'm not on anything heavy duty. Going to get some to take home so will keep you all posted.

I'm staying overnight and have to checkout for 10am, im lucky enough to have a lift back home which is a 2 hours drive away to look forward to.

Let's seem what tomorrow brings but am feeling positive tonight

Congrats on the implant. Recover well.

Ask Ralph if he used a single or sequential dilation. Very curious. Ive read some people saying that you can get some residual natural erection with single dilation as more tissue is preserved.
Mid 30s. UK. ED since mid teens. Done the pills, injections, P Shot, Gainswave, ESWT shockwave.

Now preparing to take the plunge under care of Professor Ralph at UCLH. Planning on a Rigicon Infla10 AX with Pulse pump.

Welcome to the Bionic Brotherhood Ljammmm :). That sounds very similar to my own surgery 8 months ago. You will probably start feeling more sore, aches in places, once the initial trauma passes. I still have the packet of opioid painkillers the hospital gave me, didn't need them. Ibuprofen and Paracetamol was enough to get me through the initial weeks. Don't expect too much when the bandages come off, but with time and cycling everything stabilizes and starts to look normal again. The good news is that you have done the hard part. You can now look forward to recovering and a having rock hard dick that works any time you want, and for as long as you want :D.
71, married, Sydney Oz. PC & nerve sparing RRP Mar 22, profound ED since. Tried pills, Trimix inj, focal shockwave, VED.
Finally implanted Mar 6 2025 AMS 700 LGX 21cm x 12mm, no RTEs, MS pump, Penoscrotal.
Recovery great so far but have a bend.

Thank you for the support!

He's popped in this morning and deflated me, asked him the question, he said he dilates twice and thinks this leaves enough tissue preserved.

Thank you for your kind words. I actually feel pretty good today, been up and about had my first wee. Hopefully with a bit of luck should have a good recover.

Must admit seeing my penis was a bit of a shock, im 30% inflated now, and it's not looking the largest, but that's all part of the journey!

Ljammmm, congrats on a successful surgery and the start of hopefully a smooth recovery ! Welcome to the bionic brotherhood. It's good that you have a reasonable expectation of the different phases of recovery including appearances. For me, the day after I was asking myself 'what the hell did I let them do to me' So you're way ahead of where I was !

Congrats,
I'm also recently implanted so we are in the same boat. Like you I have the titan and things are going well.
Hopefully our implant journey continues in a positive direction.

Day 2

Maybe a bit premature as it's only 5pm but think it will be an early night tonight.

Had not the best night's sleep, the catheter and drain was in over night my movement and ability to get comfortable was limited. Woke up about 5am and assume the pain meds had wore off as I had a bit of discomfort, settled down after 6am tablets and slept for another couple hours. The team at king edwards hospital were great though.

Dr Ralph visited me and unwrapped and deflated the implant down to 30%, he said I've come out with no bruising and the way I reacted during the delation makes him comfortable I could come in as early as next week to be shown how to use it, which sounds posative to me.

The drain was removed without fuss and I was walking around comfortably. I've since had a 3 hour car ride home and felt ok in the car but am feeling much more sore now, i suspect this down to the long trip but also haven't been for a poo in a couple days, and can feel my bowels pressing against the reservoir, they said this was down to the pain killers they have given me, i have so laxatives which day a day it so to kick in.

Im leaving it completely alone so can't comment on the outcome, it's to early for any judgement there. What is surprising is can still fully tense my penis which I wasn't expecting.

Still feeling positive, but will be even more so after going to the toilet!

Congratulations and best wishes for a speedy recovery! The main thing now is don't panic after what you've seen, because things will get better, slowly, over time. Today is my 33rd day since surgery. What size did Ralph manage to get?
