Post Op Issues. Anyone experience anything similar?

Postby JasonFL4678 » Sun Nov 23, 2025 7:16 pm

Hello everyone. I am looking for honest feedback as I feel like my recent doctor visits were full of gaslighting and wrong information. Any feedback is appreciated.

I got my first implant almost 3 years ago. It was an AMX700. My pre-op erect size was 6.4'. After a year of cycling, the best my erections would get was 5". This seemed like an extreme loss compare to anything I have read on here or any other research I have done. I went to a different doctor to see if there was anything I can do to get my length closer to what it was before. The first Dr had given me the wrong size, and my new Dr was confident he could help get me back closer to my original length. I had a revision done in May of this year with the new Dr and he put in a Coloplast Titan. A few days after I returned home from the hospital, I noticed a 'kink' or 'dog ears' in the tubing in the shaft. I also had a bad hematoma which caused a massive accumulation of blood in my scrotum. At my 5 week checkup, he said he wanted to put me under to drain the blood and he would address the kink and other concerns while I was under.

So 6 weeks after my surgery in early May of this year, I had a 2nd surgery in June. When I awoke in my hospital bed, I still felt the kink in the shaft but he came to the room and said he completely replaced it again. He brushed off the fact that I had the kink still and seemed confident that he fixed the issue. As the healing continued, it was very obvious that things were not right. I have a kink and dog ears on either side of the shaft that you can notice when it is flaccid as well as when it is hard. I also need to sit down to pee now because my urine can come out like someone is holding their thumb over a garden hose and half of the time if I stand, I am cleaning up urine off my bathroom floor.

I had my incision at the base of the shaft on my lower abdomen and now that it has been 5 months since the 2nd surgery, it looks like a swollen mound that is raised almost a full inch in some areas. It isn't swollen though, it feels like tubing and it feels like a lot of the equipment hasn't settled into the correct place. The implant I have in is 20cm with a 1cm rear extender. Some issues I am experiencing are:
- The tubes are not exactly parallel. It almost feels like they twist away from each other and one tip is a half inch shorter and it can clearly be felt at the tip of the penis.
- The swollen looking mound at the base of my shaft. It also goes on a slant so if you measure my penis, it is almost a full inch shorter on the left side than the right.
- The part that drives me crazy the most, is the whole reason I had this surgery was to get closer to 6.4 inches. I came to this Dr with it at 5 inches, and now, it is 4!!!!!! It has measured 10-10.5 cm on the left side of my shaft since my surgery and vigorous cycling everyday hasn't helped a single centimeter. This means more of my implant is inside my body than is showing outside.

My doctor didn't answer any questions I had and instead, sent me to a college for a 2nd opinion. Here are things that he told me:
- 10.5cm is normal length
- It is normal for more of the implant to be inside my body than showing on the outside.
- It is normal to have these random bulges at the base of my shaft
- Coloplast Titans are known for kinking
- It is in my head, if I find the right girl, she won't care
- If I am not happy, I should try cycling for 3 hours straight everyday.

Any feedback is appreciated and if anyone has heard of these issues, what was the solution, if any? I have an appointment with my surgeon on Wednesday and I just want him to be honest about what is happening and answer my questions. Thanks all!

I had a Titan Implanted 1 - 2 weeks ago and I'm down about 1.3cm in length myself (excluding glans engorgement). I'm hoping that length will come back through cycling but I can't understand how it will get longer when the cylinders are a fixed length. I should be cleared to start cycling in 11 days. I'm also down a good bit of girth in the upper half of the penis although I'm currently deflated.

The biggest annoyance for me right now is similar to yourself I have 2 hard balls popping out on the left and right hand side of the base of my penis. My surgeon said he put the tubing back as far as he could but it was impossible to make it less palpable. Mine maybe isn't as bad as yours but it's definitely an issue and if I pull my penis up when lying down flat it sort of looks like it's sitting on an ant hill. The usable length at the base is probably down about 1.5cm because of it. I'm actually thinking of consulting with someone to see if it can be improved, perhaps in 6 months, if it's still an issue.

Jason, sorry to hear about your situation, that does not sound like a fun journey.

I don’t have a Titan or infrapubic, so I can’t say much about those related issues. All that I can say, and this is as a non-doctor, just a guy that has read a lot of posts in this forum:

If you have 20+1 cm of implant, and it is only showing up as 4 inches, that is likely because either 1) your crus is deeper than most and a lot of the implant is inside you, and 2) your tunica is not allowing the implant to expand to the full length, or 3) some combination of those two issues.

If your first implant was undersized, that’s why you got no gains from cycling… your implant wasn’t big enough to stretch the tunica. Your second implant went up in size, so you may now get some gains from cycling. It seems like you are about 5-6 months post surgery. Some guys don’t see gains until a full year out. So the “second opinion” advice to cycle may be valuable.

I’ve never heard of advice to cycle for three hours a day. But, it could be your situation is different than most. I don’t think there is harm in inflating for three hours, I often leave it up inflated much longer than that.

You can always ask another doctor, but I think the advice to cycle is pretty sound. I also can’t think of what else you can do… a bigger implant is not likely to give you a bigger dick if in fact the tunica is not expanding. However, if you have an absurdly deep crus, it could be that you have been undersized again. But I find that unlikely.

I would take the advice and cycle for now.

Be well, Leto

Edit to add that if your first implant was undersized, your tunica likely shrunk during that period. Once you have been implanted, the tunica supposedly shrinks, that’s why docs always want you to have something in there to keep it stretching. If that’s the case 6.4 may be unattainable, but with cycling you should at least be able to get back to the 5 you had pre second implant. And possibly more. I most often hear of guys getting 1-2 inches from their post-op size with cycling. But it takes some time, and you have to actually do it.
50. Implanted 5/21/2024 at Kaiser SSF. AMS 700 CX 21cm, 3cm RTE. Penoscrotal. Venous leak my whole life. Pills helped, but hated the side effects; worked less as I aged. Skipped injections. Grateful to bionic brotherhood that helped me make this decision.

You say it took 1 year of cycling to achieve 5 inch erections following your first surgery.

What was your length immediately after that first surgery? How much did you (re)gain to achieve that 5 inch benchmark from 1 year of cycling?
