Im having this dilemma too. Some surgeons use old school penoscrotal and some use infrapubic.
Apparently both end up the same in the long run but who knows for sure.
Mid 30s. UK. ED since mid teens. Done the pills, injections, P Shot, Gainswave, ESWT shockwave.
Now preparing to take the plunge under care of Professor Ralph at UCLH. Planning on a Rigicon Infla10 AX with Pulse pump.

Yes I read that peno there is less chance of “floppy gland “ and easier to size properly !! But longer healing process !! Not sure !

Penoscrotal v infrapubic
Six one way, half a dozen the other.
The most important decision by a long shot is your choice of who your surgeon is going to be.
Think in terms of car mechanics. They are all mechanics, but some are far better than others. That is a simple fact.
And just to bemuse you I had my first implant done via the infra pubic method. Unfortunately, there was a small hole in one of the tubes.
My revision, four months later (after my first implant) was done via the penoscrotal method. Everything swapped out except for the reservoir.
Haven’t yet had the opportunity to ask my surgeon why he chose the different approach.
Just for the record (fingers crossed) the ‘journey’ with the second implant has been like a walk in the park when compared to the first. All the swelling gone in just over a week. Still have to wait for the 5 week mark (when I see my urologist again) before I start the cycling process.
I put it down to short time between the surgeries, not the method. Don’t know the technical term but I figure all the moving of parts inside me that was done in the first surgery to make way for the cylinders and stretching of things by the cycling helped things along heaps.
Be interesting to see what happens when I start cycling again in a few weeks. Hoping to get back to (or close to) the L & G dimensions I had prior to the tube leak. Again, fingers crossed.
