AMS or Coloplast? Which is best for me?

Coloplast or AMS? My surgeon does both. But he said it was up to me to decide which to get. What are the pros and cons of each and which one did you get and recommend?

I assume you have titan. I'm leaning towards AMS cuz from what I've read its longer than titan.

I recommend getting second opinions from other surgeons.

It seems inconceivable that your current doctor works with both implant brands yet didn’t review the pros and cons of each device with you, or offer a recommendation on which implant would best suit your anatomy after examining you.

No. It doesn’t matter what the implant size is. Your final size will be based of what you have for cavernosal space, not the size of the implant. In addition your information is wrong. AMS implants size up to 24cm, the Titan goes up to 28cm. But again none of that matters if your cavernosal space is 18cm total.

We never discussed pros and cons of both cuz my consult revolved solely around the surgery itself. But I'll follow up with him on it. In the meantime I'd like others' opinions.

I think they’re both great. Personally I think the CX is better than the LGX, but that’s just opinion and many love the LGX. CX vs Titan is a toss-up. Both have great rigidity, Titan might be slightly better there, but not functionally so. CX will give a more natural flaccid look and the Titan feels a little rubbery or crinkly when flaccid.

All the major implants are great, you just have to decide which aspects are most important to you. I got a Titan because I needed 28cm and that’s the only option without RTEs at that length. My current experience is that if I had a choice I would have still chosen the Titan, it’s working out well for me.

Did you have to cycle after surgery? If so for how long?
