After my consultation with Dr. Shaeer I tentatively scheduled a consultation and surgery 2 days later but decided to postpone as it was just a few days later and that was just too soon for me and airfares were more than double what I had seen before with more time before the flight. I also want to get back into the gym after my hand surgery and maybe lose 5-10 pounds of weight I have put on lately. To be honest I was also just tired of being consumed by this topic every day and needed a break.

I am heading back to California for a couple of weeks at the end of November and I am thinking I will reschedule the surgery for early to mid December (early Christmas present if you will). If I had enough money I would consider getting it done in the states but I do not think that would work out. Has anyone had a malleable implant with Peyronies repair in the states, if so what was the cost and which doctor did you use?

Ok, I finally have a target date. I kept hesitating to go to Egypt for a few of reasons including, the very long flights anywhere from 13-20+ hours depending on layover, the cost of the hotel they recommended was quite high and one thing Dr. Shaeer said was that I would not be able to shower for 12 days, which I have never seen before especially for a malleable implant. Anyways I just could not pull the trigger to go to Egypt.

I recently met a friend of a friend here in Thailand and he is going to India the first of December with Dr. Banga who I had a consultation with before. I have decide to go to India as well. I will fly in on Dec 1st, have a consulation on the 2nd and most likely surgery on the 3rd. I will only be in India for about a week. My new friend and I will be on the same flight to New Delhi so that will make it easier to start off, he is getting an inflatable implant so will stay in India a little longer than I will. I think I will try to start a new thread journaling my experience once I am in India or when I have returned. Wish me luck guys, I am soooo ready to get this over with.

I've heard great things about Dr. Shaeer and Dr. Banga. Both have placed thousands of implants. Good luck with your surgery, Scott. I would personally choose Dr. Shaeer for Coloplast Genesis and Dr. Banga for Rigicon Rigi10 or Promedon Tube malleables.
40, 2024 - Coloplast Genesis malleable 22cm-13mm with 1cm RTE. Subcoronal. Considering an IPP.

Thanks Lasthope, I plan to get the Rigicon.

Thanks Kodixx, it all seems a little surreal at the moment.

Hey Scott! Best of luck - if you decide to keep a journal here on your implant, I look forward to reading about it.
Diagnosed with venous leak after having ED majority of my life. Grateful to have some answers, and considering both MPP and IPP as options.

wait till you get to India ,for the surreal thing ,hahahaa
not to discourage you ,but it's way different there , the cows popping out from between cars , that is a surprise . For food i found a burger king , first i ordered a hamburger and the response was ,
no sir, not available . Me; oh out of stock? oh the sacred cow thing , right right.
So got a chicken sandwich and fries . Boy , i don't know what spices they put on both, but that was the best chicken sandwich AND fries ever .
And ordering food in the hotel was the same result , delicious . They have cooking with spices down pat . But finding other places to eat at, out walking down the street was a fail .
Best wishes on your malleable , and a quick recovery .
my own was very easy . i did take the pain meds and the others . And had really no pain except for the sensitive glans , that lasted for about 1 month
peeing, though , i had to basically push it out for a few months .
Other than that, the recovery was just a waiting game for the incision to heal and stitches dissolve .
have you applied for the entry visa ? That's required to have in hand to
enter india .
im sure your implant will go well ,it's nowhere near as complicated and involved as the ipp .

Yes, I got the visa earlier this week, what a pain that was filling out the form. I plan on bringing about 10 protein bars to help with the uncertainty of the meal situation but if the hotel they give me has good food I might just stay indoors most of the time. How hard was it just walking around in the early days after your surgery?

that online visa was a large pain . it wouldn't take photos or anything else they demanded . it all had to be shrunk down in size and i must have done it at least 6 times.
For the after surgery mobility. it was a breeze, actually. i had the surgery in mid-afternoon and left the clinic the next day . no pain other than the glans being very sensitive . BUT i might be different if you have the subcoronal method . others who had that method ,had more discomfort and it took much longer for them to bend the implant .
i think because the rods are not bent at all when placed ,so are in virgin condition . And i would think will be better at holding an upright position when bent up for sex .
my implant was the penoscrotal method , the rods are slid up the shaft ,then the remaining section has to be doubled over to be inserted . i suspect the hinge on my rods were damaged from being bent to much . as the shaft drops from gravity , with no need to "bend" it down
it made for an easy recovery ,but in the long run its not the best method .but if as some have said, with the subcoronal method ,they cant bend it for days or a few weeks , that will make flying home a challenge
maybe they could bend it a few times as soon as the rods are placed or before they are inserted , to sort of break them in a little .
