It’s been said in passing a few times here that Coloplast is currently working on making their tubing out of the same BioFlex material as their cylinders. Can anyone confirm this? Does anyone have any additional information on this, such as a timeframe? I don’t have a Titan, but it’s my understanding that the BioFlex material is nearly unbreakable.
Thanks.

As far as I know, Hakky is collaborating with Coloplast and is involved in developing the new Titan, which is scheduled for release by 2030. They should fix the cylinders' "dog ears," though I don't know how, given that the cylinders are made of the same Bioflex. And here's some more information about the new tubing. If they fix the tubing issue, it will be a breakthrough, but I think it will still need to be tested for about 10 years. They also need to justify the name of their One-Touch pump, which doesn't work like a One-Touch pump at all. But someone recently explained to me that with Bioflex cylinders, it's very difficult to invent a pump that could deflate them with one press, like Boston, who released the new Tenacio, which turned out to be a failure. So, even if the new implant is released, years of testing will be needed to ensure the functionality of the new equipment.
38, Active, athletic, marathon runner. Clipped after vein ligation. Tried embolization, wich not help. Long time choosing between CX and Titan. I ended up getting a Titan One-Touch 22 cm with a 1 cm RTE right. Before implant 6,4/6,3; after 5,8/?

I think the only ways you could reduce dog ears would be to:
1) Use a material other than Bioflex (bad idea).
2) Make the cylinder walls thicker so they don’t fold over as easily.
The second might work but would probably make the flaccid penis stiffer and less bendable. So your trading one problem for another one. I think leave it as is and inflate away the dog ears if necessary.
The one touch pump idea was a bad one to start with. We don’t need an automatic down like a car window. We just need deflate buttons/bars that are easy to manipulate and don’t take excessive strength. I like the bars in my Classic pump, but I have pretty strong hands.
The tubing fix is needed, I don’t know if Bioflex is the right material. What is needed for a cylinder supported by the tunica isn’t the same as what’s needed for high strength tubing that undergoes bending and high pressure. I have a feeling Bioflex is being chosen because it’s already FDA approved and thus requires no development time and is quicker to bring to market. Maybe if the Bioflex of the tubes is thicker, or has the steel springs inside like the current tubes do it will work, but it seems prone to kinks and bulging under pressure otherwise. I’m hopefull but need more information.

Re: Coloplast, New Tubing (?)
I'll gladly adopt new technology, like bioflex tubing or Bluetooth/Smart whatever, only after it has a proven, real-world track record. Clinical trials are not enough for me.
I have zero interest in being a beta tester for implantable medical products. My surgeon has learned from the Tenacio Recall, and I will not be another cautionary tale. There will always be some whom I salute for being guinea pigs for future patients. I'm just kidding there. Let's just say I'm old fashioned.

Thanks for this! So, hopefully, in five years we should have a real, competitive development. I might become a Titan man.

Who cares about dog ears! Ten years with my Titan, heavy masturbation every day even with deflated cylinders. confirm cylinders are indestructible. Bioflex is an exceptional material.
