The reservoir is built around the base of the cylinders so when flaccid it is stretching out the base of the corpus cavernosa. Then when inflated the base of the cylinder would be skinnier inside the stretched area. That seems like a bad idea.
And the longest size of 20cm will mean a lot of RTEs for many of us. RTEs can lead to a hinging effect.
For many guys the reservoir being placed in the abdomen through the inguinal canal is fine. If this is a problem due to a patient’s specific anatomy (known scarring in the lower abdomen for example) this might be a good trade off. Otherwise it looks like a solution looking for a problem.
The innovation I am looking for is a huge improvement in durability of the tubing.
Inflating and deflating is quick and easy. I’m not interested in complicating it with Bluetooth or batteries or electric pumps.
I want more options in sizes (more diameters). A more anatomically correct shape to the cylinders (that will result in a rounder penis, not the flatter oval). Most importantly I want bulletproof reliability. I want tubing that WILL NOT EVER break.

Exactly. For most implantees, durability is the top priority. Other innovations are at best marginal.
31 yrs old. ED from since puberty due to venous leak. Pills worked for 7-8 years and then stopped. Skipped injections, got implanted on 3.11.2023 with Titan Genesis pump 20cm+1.5cm RTEs by Dr. Levine.

Re: Rigicon is launching a new 2 piece implant
I have just had a revision done this week for a Rigicon implant. (Issue with tubing).
Whilst speaking to a Rigicon rep about my circumstances I took the opportunity to ask about the new 2 piece implant.
Long story short, the 3 piece implant is still considered the ‘Rolls Royce’ option.
My understanding is that the 2 piece will be targeting men who would have some sort of medical issue or problem with having a reservoir placed in their body.

In my understanding, the 3 piece implant is the gold standard. My surgeon doesn't like the 2 piece. His philosophy is - why settle for less fluid?
Unless you had prior surgeries, a reservoir install should be a piece of cake for a high volume implanter.
With a skilled, high-volume surgeon, your implant will probably outlive you. I’m not more worried about that 1% revision rate than I'm about a lightning strike hitting my head. Trust the process. Trust your surgeon. There's a reason why they have an MD after their name. Ask how long they expect your implant to last, run with it and keep a positive mindset like you own the universe. Based on how well mine is working, I’m not worried about it failing any time soon.
That said, if your surgeon recommends a 2 piece, that's the best implant for you.
Just had great sex with my soulmate. Rougher than when we first met.
For the record, the implant worked reliably from inflation to sex to deflation. Happy camper.

That explanation makes sense. I doubt it would be something I'd go for but for those reasons it could be a good option for some.
Rigicon seems to be keen on innovation, but like others have said I'd rather see all implant manufacturers focused on improving robustness and longevity.
