After my consultation with Dr. Shaeer I tentatively scheduled a consultation and surgery 2 days later but decided to postpone as it was just a few days later and that was just too soon for me and airfares were more than double what I had seen before with more time before the flight. I also want to get back into the gym after my hand surgery and maybe lose 5-10 pounds of weight I have put on lately. To be honest I was also just tired of being consumed by this topic every day and needed a break.

I am heading back to California for a couple of weeks at the end of November and I am thinking I will reschedule the surgery for early to mid December (early Christmas present if you will). If I had enough money I would consider getting it done in the states but I do not think that would work out. Has anyone had a malleable implant with Peyronies repair in the states, if so what was the cost and which doctor did you use?

Ok, I finally have a target date. I kept hesitating to go to Egypt for a few of reasons including, the very long flights anywhere from 13-20+ hours depending on layover, the cost of the hotel they recommended was quite high and one thing Dr. Shaeer said was that I would not be able to shower for 12 days, which I have never seen before especially for a malleable implant. Anyways I just could not pull the trigger to go to Egypt.

I recently met a friend of a friend here in Thailand and he is going to India the first of December with Dr. Banga who I had a consultation with before. I have decide to go to India as well. I will fly in on Dec 1st, have a consulation on the 2nd and most likely surgery on the 3rd. I will only be in India for about a week. My new friend and I will be on the same flight to New Delhi so that will make it easier to start off, he is getting an inflatable implant so will stay in India a little longer than I will. I think I will try to start a new thread journaling my experience once I am in India or when I have returned. Wish me luck guys, I am soooo ready to get this over with.

I've heard great things about Dr. Shaeer and Dr. Banga. Both have placed thousands of implants. Good luck with your surgery, Scott. I would personally choose Dr. Shaeer for Coloplast Genesis and Dr. Banga for Rigicon Rigi10 or Promedon Tube malleables.
40, 2024 - Coloplast Genesis malleable 22cm-13mm with 1cm RTE. Subcoronal. Considering an IPP.

Thanks Lasthope, I plan to get the Rigicon.
