Have Eid do it. Trust me, I made the mistake of going with a top doctor and needed a revision.

Also let the GF walk, trust me on this again, I went through a divorce right before I got it done. Think of all the women you will get to date with a bionic dick! No need to deal with a woman who is not supporting you through your toughest moments. I now have a GF that is 100x better than my ex wife (and much younger).

Otherwise look for another high volume surgeon that accepts your current insurance.
50/year is moderate

Look up coloplast center of excellence or look into edin vitality. Edin vitality is a group of high volume surgeons.

Never heard of them. Are they legit?

Here's a mental exercise for you:
-You get an infection.
-Your device fails in 2 months.
-There's some issue that requires you to revise your implant within the next 6 months.

All that COULD happen, so given your described scenario, it's already over. Might as well get into this with a clear head and not get rushed into this. There's plenty to research. Spend the next months reading about the procedure so you can actually position yourself to get the best possible surgical outcome.

So that explains why you chose to go with an experienced high volume surgeon who did a great job on you without any issues, is this right?

Watch this everybody,..

Well, I'm sorry to say @macoza, it's already over.

And that great positive thinking of yours explains why you never had a revision or infection or a host of other problems relating to your implant. Great advice!

Your response is odd with all due respect. If Eid didnt care what insurance one had he wouldve accepted ANY insurance.

yup and like others said you might ditch the girl before she finds another reason to ditch you….lol

Another great american advice!

That said, there are a lot of them.

Where??

Maybe you can find one that works with your insurance.

Look up coloplast center of excellence or look into edin vitality.

Sadly, I cant use my insurance and I cant switch to Eid. And I dont want to pay out of pocket either since I'm low in cash.

Edin vitality is a group of high volume surgeons.

I can imagine if anything is not perfect (even temporarily), it would be easy to unconsciously transfer some "blame" to your gf because she rushed you to a low volume surgeon.

Right, you know her for sure.

But I'm motivated to switch to Anthem Blue Cross cuz Dr Eid accepts that insurance and I'd want him to perform the surgery ideally.

But for that to happen I need to obtain 'good cause' from the Medicaid office to switch insurance. That will take time. How much time? I don't know. So should I get the surgery now or wait til I get good cause permission to switch insurance will get me surgery with Eid?

Please note that I can't waste time cuz my gf gave me sort of an ultimatum that if I can't please her I'll end up losing her. Her words, not mine.

Brother, I can’t stress this enough… you should leave her ASAP. Imagine if you said the same to her about a boobjob…

From my understanding, there’s a big difference in infection rates between low and high volume surgeons. Waiting for Dr. Eid won’t eliminate the risk but it gives you the best chance.
