I'm scheduled to have my implant on Nov 25th. No real anxiety about it, just anticipation. Bloods all done yesterday and my goody bag of essentials is almost complete.
Currently on vacation until the end of the week and celebrating my 66th birthday tomorrow, so this is my birthday present to myself.

No anxiety?? That's awesome! I had the anticipation for sure but there was definitely plenty of anxiety knowing my stuff was getting chopped on.

Thanks LGXDownunder,
Yes, I'm having it done in Melbourne. I'm currently on the sunshine coast for 10 days, then back home for just under a week and fly back on Sunday.
This trip was planned long before I'd even heard of implants but it has worked out handy for having my bloods done as I've been able to go to an Aussie pathology lab.
It also meant we have been able to pick up Aussie sims for our phones which will make communication with the hospital easier.
I'll spend a week recovering in Melbourne and fly back the following Monday.

I used the most of my anxiety on making the decision to have an implant. If it had been suggested to me as an option at the start of the year I would have dismissed it out of hand.
When I started my research into treatments for Peyronies it became clear that not only was an implant the best choice it was also the least scary with the most benefits.
Even so it was a big psychological leap to actually commit to going down this path, especially once I realised that in order to find a high volume surgeon I would have to travel abroad and take on the cost myself.
Luckily my wife had been supportive even though she was initially bemused and a little bit horrified by what I was contemplating
