So I was cleared for sex today and of course my wife and I took the plunge. She was a little uncomfortable about hurting me so she took it easy but mainly wanted to see if I could ejaculate. That was successful except for the fact that during sex my glans was uncomfortable and when I ejaculated it was a little uncomfortable in the glans area as well. Anybody else experience glans issues like that after losing their penile implant virginity.

Mine was for about three weeks after my wife and I started having sex. The pressure of the implant pushing with each thrust kept me going slow and easy.
By the time she relaxes and not afraid to hurt you you will be ready.
I also massaged my glans pretty good by rubbing it against the implant.

Hey thanks! I had not heard that complaint much but the head definitely does not seem to be getting as big (engorged) so the tips are making pressure on it. Overall I was happy with the way it went for the first time.

My experience is that it takes a few months for your dick to adjust to its new reality. There was some discomfort in the first few months. But it goes away once the implant and you get used to each other. Eventually it just feels like normal.

Tip: Don’t pump it up all the way when having sex yet. That will take pressure off the glans.

You bet Valdekio, I was cleared at 6 weeks for sex, but I could tell that I still had too much numbness and pain in my shaft and glans.
I waited til week 8 to have PIV sex, it was disappointing even at 8 weeks. I pumped up as much as I could because I was still getting use to the pump. I pumped up ahead of time and once we started foreplay, I was already feeling discomfort in my glans. I don't even remember if I came, it was hurting so much and I don't think I had enough pumps in to make PIV sex good.
My dick throbbed for two days after our first PIV sex. I emailed my doc and he said I probably over did it and just to take baby steps. I wasn't deterred, I knew my Bionic Dick would eventually work.
It keeps getting better every week, it did take about 5 or 6 months before sex was great again.

Congrats, sounds like things are going well!

I'm 2.5 weeks post-op, and I haven't really been able to even masturbate yet, still pretty sore. It feels good when I stroke it, but Not anywhere good enough to finish, and I don't want to be too aggressive with it.

Valdekio & Boatdrinks, my experience was a lot like what other members described above. Due to a rough recovery I didn't have sex until almost 8 weeks, but it wasn't until around 16 weeks that it got completely comfortable and started to feel like a 'new normal'.

Thanks for all the replies. I'll just keep pressing on with daily cycling and of course somewhat uncomfortable sex for the time being as I get used to my new prosthetic. One thing I thought odd about my urologist visit was that when he pressed the deflate button it hurt somewhat. He suggested another round of antibiotics but said he didn't think there was any infection maybe just swelling. I can press the deflate button without pain but I have to do it carefully. He didn't do it carefully. My question is wouldn't a steroid be better than an antibiotic if there is some mild swelling going on? I didn't think about it until later.
