AMS 700 Tenacio Pump hard to inflate

Postby mjaneway » Sun Oct 05, 2025 11:45 am

I am just over 7 weeks post-op and have trouble getting the pump bulb to squeeze easily to inflate my implant. I have gotten it to inflate one time with lots of little squeezes but I don't feel it was 100% inflated. My bulb is also sitting high in my scrotum and I have been trying to force it down and not having much luck. Has anyone else seen these issues and have any suggestions?

Hard flaccid syndrome since 2019. Trying to get better with conservative treatments but an implant is on my radar

mjaneway, I was implanted in Feb with an AMS700 CX and a Tenacio pump. When I started cycling the pump bulb was hard, and I did exactly what you're doing -- lots and lots of "mini-pumps". Over 2-3 weeks the pump bulb began to soften and I was able to get full pump squeezes.

There was a recall announced for the pump, but it turned out very few of the devices were affected by the issue. Once the pump bulb softened the pump has worked great for me, even though the deflate button doesn't work the way I expected it to.

They both said that the issue was identified and resolved, and, that if your pump is working it is not affected by the recall. For me, my Tenacio pump is on that list and its worked fine since the procedure in Feb.

Looking for help from successful recipients. I’m 11 weeks post surgery and disappointed beyond words. Hard to inflate, 50% original size and “fully” inflated does not achieve any elevation. Surgeon declares it a success.

That's terrible. Do you have a floppy glans? If not it sounds like you were sized correctly. Maybe the proximal tips don't reach far enough down and thus the poor angle?

What type of implant do you have? Did the surgeon address any of your concerns? Are you aggressively cycling and/or doing Perito exercises? What is the quality of your erection from a firmness standpoint?
