Well, today was kind of a shit show. The past 36 hours or so I have had an issue with ridiculous urinary frequency. As in...go pee, nice amount good stream, feels empty after. Then go sit down. Two minutes later, shit, gotta pee again. Do that for a full day when you need to rest and heal, and you will go insane.

I texted Dr. Hakky and se said I needed a urinalysis and post-void retention ultrasound to rule out UTI or something causing the bladder not to empty. Only problem is, I had no ride. My wife had an important doctor's appt and my only buddy who knows the story in town was not answering.

So with zero sleep, feeling pretty crappy, and not sure how many times I'd have to stop to piss, I piled into my truck and drove the 60-ish miles through Atlanta traffic to Hakky's office -- wearing pajama pants with the fly open and my 30% inflated cock sticking straight up in my lap, surgical drain carefully placed to continue draining as I drove. There's no comedy movie funnier than what that would have looked like if I'd been pulled over.

Hakky's staff was great, they did their tests and found no problems in spite of my symptoms. They called Hakky, he said it has to be bladder irritation from that catheter and getting kicked around during surgery (he had some minor challenges placing the reservoir as I detailed previously). He prescribed Trospium Cloride to calm the bladder and I drove back home.

Of course the med is out of stock at the pharmacy until tomorrow, because, of course.

Anyway, I've had maybe six ours sleep in the last couple of days, which is fun. I hope the meds do the trick. Things are a little better now, I can go about an hour between bathroom trips and I'm trying to train myself to wait as long as I can.

On the good side, everything with the implant seems really good. I'm in almost no pain, just a little shaft soreness as if I had a wild night with the ladies, and a patch of soreness and bruising over the reservoir. I never notice the incision, which I keep covered with a piece of sterile gauze taped in place. Even if I push on it it's not tender.

Tomorrow (Saturday) is a trifecta - drain comes out, I get to take a shower, and I start pulling the pump downward. I can feel the pump already and I'm sure tugging on it will get sporty on the pain scale.

Then Tuesday it's back to Hakky's office for cycling training with his assistant, and the post-op with Hakky himself for final checkout on 11/12.

Oh, for laughs I did a quick measurement. At 30% inflated I'm showing a hair under 8" long and 6-ish" circumference. So As expected I lost a little, but that's at only 30% inflated and we'll see what cycling brings back.

Things seem to have calmed down with my bladder somewhat, even though I don’t have the meds onboard yet. So things are better, and the actual implant side of things has been going well. It’s still early I’m sure there will be more FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) along the way…all part of the experience!

Hey Elbow! Been off franktalk for a little bit while work stuff has been crazy, was stoked to see you started your journal when I’d logged back in today.

I am following with interest for number of reasons. I am still doing injections but looking to the future. Plus, we are the same pre-op size and I am concerned about losing my size. Hope you retain most if not all of yours.

This was an interesting and complimentary comment from your Dr considering he is a high volume surgeon. It incidentally adds some fuel to the large penis/race debate! lol

"* He said I’m a “true” 28cm, didn’t really need upsizing. Not sure if he was being serious, but he said I was the first true 28cm implant he’s needed to do on a Caucasian. Maybe he says that to all the girls, but it made me feel good"

A new milestone today, I met with Dr. Hakky’s patient educator, Barry, and started cycling. Barry has an IPP as well, so he’s a great resource with the experience to understand how it all works in the real world.

We talked a good long time about how things were going in my recovery and implants in general. They he looked me over to make sure there were no red flags, and asked me to cycle.

JFC this thing gets hard. My Trimix injections gave me raging erections, but I think this thing maxxed out is next level. It gets sore pretty quickly, but that should get better over time. He wants me to aim for 30 minutes as hard as I can stand, twice a day. I think I can do it, but it’s going to get very sore by the end of 30 minutes.

The best news of all: my dick points strongly to 2 o’clock! Hakky told me to expect a straight out or downward angle, but I’m happy to report he was wrong about that. Barry was even impressed and said “you’re going to do some damage with that.”

I am back home cycling now, and I am seeing 8in length and 6” girth. Perfectly acceptable to me even if I never gain another millimeter, but we’ll see if cycling brings me closer to original dimensions. Now that the drain is out my scrotum is swelling a good bit, so I’ll be icing it after I finish cycling.
