Pump Direction
So I started cycling yesterday and was having a hard time locating the deflate button. Surgeon Notes stated it was placed anteriorly which means the deflate button should be pointing outward. Last night I was able to get the button to deflate after mucking around with pressing what should have been where the button was. Tonight after feeling around more extensively I do believe I came to discover that the deflate button is pointed to the left right in the middle of the ball sack that is somewhat displaced because of the pump. It's fairly hard to get to and pretty uncomfortable to press as there are veins and what not in the way. Has anyone heard of this happening? I'm pretty sure anterior is pointing forward not to the side. Is this going to be an issue since it's in an awkward spot?

Re: Pump Direction
Mine is between my testicles. Its moveable (can twist it) but mostly is side to side. I have otr from coloplast.
Believe post prostate surgery I was around 5 inches down from 6. Never measured girth but post titan otr 20 cm seems thicker.

Re: Pump Direction
Valdekio, I can't answer your question directly, but can relay this. My Dr tried to start cycling me at 6 weeks but I was still too swollen to manipulate the pump. At almost 8 weeks I could easily locate and use the pump. As I read your post it sounded like you still had enough swelling, whether its detectible from the outside or not, that it felt like everything was in the way of using the pump. Hope this is the case for you and if so, that very soon the pump will be easier to use. Also, my deflate button points half way between straight out and to the left -- it is very easy to locate and use in that position.
Best wishes !

Thanks, I'm just going to wait now until Nov. 4 so I can get the all clear from the doc and see why it's facing left instead of the front.

Re: Pump Direction
Thanks,
It didn't list my reply above but I think I'm going to not mess with it any more until my appointment on Nov. 4. My left testicle has always been a little more forward than the right. When I was doing vacuum exercises I had to hold on to it for dear life because it would get sucked in otherwise.
Since the surgery it is even more forward now looking a little awkward even. Something I can live with though.

Re: Pump Direction
Well, I discovered that if I angle the pump upwards towards my right ball ie somewhat horizontal that I can access the deflate button in pain free fashion by going slightly under my left ball. By the way cycling causes me no pain whatsoever and it maxes at 4 1/2 inches in spite of persistent pumps but to no avail. Definitely not as hard as I've experienced before being bionic. It's obvious by the skin in my shaft there is room to grow but it wouldn't pump beyond that.

Russell, glad you could find a way to use it. There's no way I could have done any of that at 5 weeks, much less without any pain. I would say give it time and heal and a lot will change as you go forward.

Thanks for your posts. I find them very helpful. I just noticed that everybody talks about so much pain when they start cycling. I had none... whatsoever. I didn't "feel" like I was maxed though. When I did the VED I would sit for 20 mins at 5 1/2 inches and that was uncomfortable. At 4 1/2 it seems like nothing but I do hope I will eventually get back to 5" as that is only a modest size as is. I used to be longer prior to 20 years of dealing with ED, but it is what it is.

Re: Pump Direction
Valdekio, thank you for the kind words. Interesting you'd mention the lack of pain. For all the pain I went thru with extreme swelling and edema, once I was able to start cycling I didn't experience a lot of pain either. I've read so many posts about guys really hitting a pain threshold while cycling. But the most I'd get when cycling is pain in one spot or another, then it would fade after several minutes, then I'd put in a few mini-pumps -- rinse and repeat. I don't know why there's such a difference in pain levels while cycling for different guys.
