I've finally made the decision to get implants. Pills and jabs no good for me. I'm off to see Dr Love (Melbourne, Australia) on 27 Nov for initial consultation. From the brief research I've done, implants seem to be very successful. Never thought in a million years I'd be getting this done. I'm 67 and fairly fit. I'm actually quite excited about it, from what I have read. Getting some semblance of a normal sex life would be awesome. The cost of the procedure ($26k AUD), and the fact it is a last resort put me off - but it's now full steam ahead. Dr Love (Great name for a penile implant urologist) seems very experienced and does around 75 implants a year. I contemplated getting it done overseas (much cheaper) but chickened out. I'm still working and will get a loan. The prospect of a more normal and reliable sex life is the driving force.
I stumbled across this forum and would love to hear about other experiences. There's nothing better than hearing about real life experiences, good and bad.
All the best

How long did it take from choosing the implant to surgery did it take?
Also do you get to a choose which implant?
I'm not as blessed as you in that department so worried about loss of size. Would prefer ams 700 LGX but don't think the NHS does that!
Hi Browny sorry about the delay in getting back to you.
i had my 1st visit with this doctor on Friday 13th June (usually unlucky), walked him told him i wanted a robocock he said ok wait around 6 weeks and we can see what comes up.
had my pre opp on Monday 23rd June to make sure all my bloods were ok and i was fit for surgery, and then surgery was Wednesday 2nd.
whole thing took just over 2 weeks from 1st visit.
i didnt get to choose, apart from if i wanted this one i had or the malleable penile implant.
Hope everything is working out for you so far.
Hiya, surgery is on Friday, at UCLH, getting the AMS 700 LGX, how long did you stay in hospital for?
Looks like you were there for three days?
I've been told mine will only be an overnight stay and released the next day if all ok.
You got an LGX on NHS? Which surgeon?
Mid 30s. UK. ED since mid teens. Done the pills, injections, P Shot, Gainswave, ESWT shockwave.
Now preparing to take the plunge under care of Professor Ralph at UCLH. Planning on a Rigicon Infla10 AX with Pulse pump.

Asif Muneer, he was great, reviews seem quite bad on here, I was quite apprehensive, but first meeting he knew I was quite worried about my size as I'm only 5 1/2 pre implant.
He was happy to give me an LGX and put in 18cm + 2cm rte. Which is definitely a good size for me.

Definitely past worrying stage and am now the excitement stage where I'm seeing how potentially life changing it is.
Thank you,
Check up went well, although it was the worst time I've had with a very pretty woman fondling my bits. Lol
Cycling away now, think I went overboard today, woke up and kept pumped up for most the day. Now I'm sore as hell. Can slowly feel pump getting easier to press. Just hoping size returns eventually.

browny30, glad things are going well ! Does your Dr want you to be inflated most of a day ? Most guys are told something like 30 or 60 minutes. Remember the body has to have a chance to heal. There's lots of threads on the forum about regaining size. For me it felt like that came slowly. I'm almost 9mo post-op and just updated my measurements for the second time.

She didn't really give a time, just said do it as long as you can and as much as you can. I grew half inch in the first week, but it does seem to have slowed down quite abit. I aim for 30-60 mins twice a day, however wife and kids are away at in laws for a few days so I'm just going all out with it which has left me sore for most the time.
Each thread is different as some people on here cycled aggressively and pushed past the pain and say they were rewarded with the results. I'm 43 years old so thought maybe I would be ok with it.
Guess I'll go hard for the next few days and relax when wifes back.
I still have an inch to regain!!
