Question about cycling?

Postby fozmouse » Wed Oct 22, 2025 2:42 pm

First time post - so apologize if this is a silly question:
I was just implanted (37, postop day 5 today) with a coloplast titan classic by Eid. Tried cycling starting postop day 3 which was quite painful even with pain meds before and in the hot bath, but did my best, doing it for 30 min, twice a day. Some practical questions:
1) How to know when you're inflated to the max? Eid recommends that there is no roughness or kinks. Practically though, I feel some degree of non-smoothness on the penis which is very small, even when I inflate it as much as I can tolerate. When fully inflated, it's about at parallel with the ground or a little above. However, at this point, I am in a fair bit of pain, which is tolerable but definitely can't do regular activities such as talking or work at this level of pain and need like 15 min to mentally recover from this. Also though, the pump is a LOT harder to pump at this point, and I'm not sure if further pumping is really doing anything, which I'm not sure indicates that its "at full".

2) How to know if you are fully deflated? I can kind of feel the rubber if I squeeze the penis, but my penis still sticks out at 30% up from vertically down.

3) My penis has a notable deviation when deflated and less-so when inflated. I was reassured that this would change over time - just want to make sure that was consistent with folks' experiences.

4) Is there some central website that has information about cycling or general post-op care/questions? Other than just searching the forum. Feel like sometimes I "find" a great post but then lose it. I might just make one, even for myself lol.

Congrats and welcome to the brotherhood!

1) You'll know when it is pumped up to the max when either you can no longer squeeze the pump as it's too hard, or it collapses because it there is no more fluid to push into the cylinders. Dr Eid is pretty legendary so I assume that there will be enough fluid to never run your pump flat. Being only 5 days post-op, you probably will be limited by pain and the stiffness of the pump and cylinders to prevent you from reaching the ultimate final max inflation. That will probably come in the next few months after continued cycling.

2) Titan's take a lot of cycling to soften up and start to hang better while flaccid. What you're experiencing is normal. You'll know better when you're fully deflated in a few weeks/months of cycling.

3) Everyone is different and you should trust Dr Eid and his staff about this

4) I don't know of any other than just do as you're doing and ask the brotherhood here! ;)

Good luck with your healing!

Thanks much appreciated - that is very helpful. And additional question - it's actually really painful for me to physically squeeze the pump (like a sharp pain), as my scrotal skin is pretty tender. To the point that I dread the hot water baths because I have to pump. Is this normal/does this improve? Can't imagine actually using the pump for normal sexual activity with the level of pain it's causing just to squeeze the pump. Right now, I do like 10 pumps and then follow with a one minute break before trying to re-pump.

Welcome fozmouse

You are pretty new and many things will change daily. I have very delicate skin, even cool water splashing on it hurts, skin cancer etc. You will get use to it.
