I have just started cycling three days in, im just after some specific advice on things
Robbie96 wrote:1. How many times do you cycle and whats your routune?
I cycle at least twice a day for usually 15 minutes each time. I also try and have a longer session on as many days as I can find time for it. I'm no longer working and have more flexibility to do that. I aim for one hour, but in practise it varies from 30 minutes to an hour. On the days I have sex I count that as a long cycling session, as it's going to be for an hour or more anyway (I don't know if that's cheating

).
Robbie96 wrote:2. I have been in pain when i start walking or go to work i get really bad aches throughout my dick what do you do for relief?
Early in recovery that seems pretty common. I had an aching pain in the shaft of my dick like that on and off for quite a while, but I only ever used paracetamol for pain relief.
Robbie96 wrote:3. Will this pain ever go away? Im worried that its always going to be this sore because at the moment it seems so far away to have any sort of sex?
Yes it will go away, but it takes time and everyone is different. I was cleared for sex at 6 weeks but no way could I have done it then. Way too painful. Even at 8 weeks I found sex very uncomfortable. Having sex didn't start to feel OK until around 10 weeks and even then it was a mix of pleasure and pain. Probably around 12 weeks before it became mostly pleasurable. YMMV.
Robbie96 wrote:4. When i cycle is there any additional things i should be doing can i move my penis around to stretch it abit?
To help stretch the penile tissues and regain original size, from 6 weeks post op my surgeon started me doing a modified version of the Perito "The Exercise". It involves bending the erect penis as far as possible to each of N, S, E, W and holding it there for about 20-30 seconds at each position. I do that 2 or 3 times each cycling session. He also told me to focus mainly on the downward (south) position. I also pump the implant up a bit more after each time to maximise the stretch. Early in my recovery it hurt to do it but I pushed through it and now it's no problem.
But check with your own doc first as they all seem to have different approaches.
5. Is there any advice you csn give me regarding cycling
If possible warm up your dick and scrotum as much as possible before starting. A hot shower or bath is good.
