Regarding Fibrosis as it pertains to injections and implant: Injections can increase fibrosis if you go injecting very frequently, and that can definitely make it difficult to continue to inject.....but with regard to compromising yourself for a future implant.....this is not the same concept. The injections are the smallest of insulin needles, and injecting thru or around a plaque can be problematic.....but the implant goes in via a scalpel. Extremely invasive. Much cutting.
As far as the awkwardness with excusing oneself to inject......I found it to be almost equal to inflating/deflating. Unless your partner is "in on these things" you will be doing some magician/secret-agent tactics in either scenario.
I've had both, and here are the pros and cons as it occurs to me:
BIMIX/TRIMIX is an injection - then you have natural erection - the rest of your life is unaltered outside sex - if you hate it, or it stops working ......you can always do an implant.....(cons: women will eventually think you do coke or have irritable bowel syndrome, you will keep ice packs in your glove compartment to keep it cold, you will hide the needle in the top of your dress socks, you will learn to quickly execute the injection in the bathroom like an episode of "mission impossible")
Implant is with you always - but you are then done with doctors and pharmacies (until it breaks) - but it is not "nothing" (not like a toupee or contact lenses). You are aware of it always: when hugging relatives, going thru airport scanner, doctors and dentists will ask about it, you need to be cognoscente of it when moving things or doing certain sports etc....
but you now only bring yourself to every sexual encounter .....and you are always ready with no preplanning. ...
CON: you have now removed all other options from the table. It may break at an inopportune time in your life.
As far as detectability, i don't think anyone other than a urologist would know about either one or detect either one. The implant looks fine in flaccid state....and I've rarely (like never) ever engaged with a woman so "grabby" that they would encounter the pump or tubing.
that's my take.
