How is Dr Carrion in Tampa to work with?
I am considering Dr Carrion and Dr Clavell for my implant surgery. I have been able to find a lot of feedback on Dr Clavell and it is very positive. I have not found much info on Dr Carrion. Can anyone provide feedback on him? Does he do all his surgeries himself or does he have residents and interns that do the surgeries? I know he trains physicians on the procedures. I am considering both malleable and IPP and want the physicians input on which way to go. Does he do both? If you have used him how was your experience? How is his bedside manner? What do you have to do for follow up after the surgery? Thanks all for your help.

Re: How is Dr Carrion in Tampa to work with?
I’ll be frank. I had Dr Carrion and received my implant 6 months ago. I chose him because he seemed to be the high volume guy in the area. I also liked his attitude and informality during my pre-op interviews. I talked with several surgeons but chose him because of his experience. At one point, he mentioned that he trained another surgeon that I was considering.
After my surgery, my dick was numb and after 6 months, continues to be numb. I am having trouble with orgasms … like I can’t have one. Recently, I had a small breakthrough when my girlfriend gave me a hand job and I came. My penis continue to be numb and PIV sex is disappointing… with no orgasms.
When I saw his PA in a follow up, she said to me, “I’m not going to lie to you. Your numbness may be permanent.” I then demanded an appointment with Carrion. In that appointment, Carrion said to me that I couldn’t possibly be numb. He described to me where the incision was and why he couldn’t possibly have cut the nerves. Well, that’s an interesting fact, but I am numb.
I had a second follow up with him. I pressed him on being numb. He kept saying, “I’m not worried.” And then he asked me how many orgasms did your girlfriend have?” Clearly, this was an attempt to divert me from my complaint.
All I was trying to ask him was,”what was the cause of my numbness, what were my prospects for recovering, how long will it take and what should I do to speed recovery?” All I got was, “I’m not worried.”
So, what are my overall impressions? He is the high volume guy. The result: no infection, size matches the size pre-surgery, symmetry is better than before, girth a little better, the position of the tips is excellent so I’m not worried about a floppy head. Mechanically, everything works perfectly. If I wanted to, I could fuck a woman’s volleyball team.
So, you tell me. Should I be happy or not? So my opinion is mixed. He’s probably the best technical guy, but don’t expect much support if things go wrong.
