Recovery question, scrotum related

Postby Tightlines » Mon Aug 18, 2025 3:34 pm

I am about 6 days out and I do understand that healing is a process and didnt plan on asking any questions until I gave it enough time. However, I just want to confirm what I am experiencing is part of the recovery. As far as the implant and incision I feel it’s progressing nicely comparing to others journals.
I am having trouble with my scrotum area and base of penis, skin area not internal. (Incision is above, no issues) it is burning like crazy. It’s hard like leather, very dry, peeling and any type of underwear irritates it. Laying commando like I am sitting in Gyno stirrup chair is comfortable. Is this part of the recovery or is something else going on? Surgeon wants everything supported and the penis facing up, it’s tough with the irritation. Thanks for any help.

I think this is from the swelling & bruising. Those things frequently cause skin issues. Think of the scratching & skin peeling around a cut as it heals. You might want to try a bit of skin moisturizer to soften it. But it will peel.....maybe more than once.

Thank you for the reply. I didn’t see many others discuss this topic so I wasn’t sure it was part of the recovery. An annoying part of the recovery for sure!

First of all,
welcome to the bionic brotherhood!
Don't worry, it's all normal, the itching is mostly due to skin irritation like from shaving and/or caused by the sterile fluids, that are used before the surgery.
It will disappear after some tim, you can use after few days Bepanthen Wound Cream, but not on the stitches itself, keep the stitches area clean and dry, until the stitches dissolve. The bruising and swelling takes few weeks to disappear, it's also normal.
Relax and be happy, it'll all be good soon. :D

If you put cream on there, do your best to keep it off the incision. You can try hydrocortisone cream for the itching too.

Tightlines, I am a day behind you and am having the same issue. I found a post that said to cut a hole in your undies that covers the incision site. I tried that last night and it works. It also provided my wife just what she needed to laugh at me. I agree, it looks silly, but hey it works.

Try your wife’s tube top. It’ll sure get a chuckle out of her, but it gives lots of relief.
