I was on TRT for a year before getting an implant. It helped me a lot with my mood, energy, etc., but didn't do anything for my erections.

Do you still take it now?, what was your level before the started?

I still take it now. My total T before starting was in the 200s and my free T was basically nonexistent. Now my total T is around 980 and my free is in the high range. I wasn't recovering from workouts, was constantly hungry for no reason, etc. TRT is not a fix-all, but it helped with a lot of things. I get bloodwork every 6 months and monitor a lot of biomarkers for any changes.

i actually do not know what m test. levels are .where i live is a bit backwards regarding medical services . i had my blood checked before and asked if they could check test. levels . ,and i got a frown and a no . so hopefully i can find another place on this little island that will check it .

I WAS 14 when cricket ball hit my testees and my balls became like bloon and i had a 102 fever at night.i went to lots of doctor back home(pak) but noone know what to do .finally after suffering of 7days and night pain and fever my Dad took me to a known doctor and thats bythc doctor removed one of my testee 1st and then 2nd he injected some thing and i had a peanut size 2nd testee.i was very young and know nothing about sex and all but i was pain free next day and i was very happy but did not know what future had in store for me....when i was 22 years i started feeling fatigue,no life.no erection at all.i moved to canada mean while and when doctor check my T LEVEL it was about 20 .i was in deep depression and was thinking to commit suicide many times,,,,my Dr told me that i did not have T thats y depression hit me hard.then she put me on 250mg bi weekly and after about 2months my T level went up to 250 but i m still suffering with Depression as it has become chronic.i m 20mg Paxil since the day i started T injection.....sorry for long story....but i want to mention one thing for all i have reduced my T injection from 250mg bi weekly to 0.5ml weekly since 2 years the reason is i added some supplement which are below
D3 10000IU
k2 120MCG
Boron 3mg
Magnesium 250mg
i take daily after lunch and my T level is more then 950...i have the energy of a teen.i workout 5days a week and hit the Gym hard...i m almost 47now and don't have any erection problem and good blood flow,,,i m going for MPP in January in toronto the reason is i have veins leakage and anxiety attack when i try to enter and i gets soft that moment.....once again i m sorry for so long story

Ive been on TRT for about6 years. It definitely helped my mental alertness and energy levels but did nothing for my ED. Had implant for little over 3 years and still onTRT. I started on dose every two weeks but seemed to have a rollercoaster effect so split the dose and do ever week now with great results. I use a 22ga needle in the thigh and have no issues with giving myself a shot. With insurance it only costs about $25 for 3 months supply so cheep enough. Plan on staying on it til I die!! lol

I used to use the large gauge needle, but recently started using my old tri-mix syringes.
I have no problem filling them and inject in my thighs pretty painlessly. I inject slowly.

Rider, I got my testosterone checked a little while back at the wellness clinic that my wife goes to for her pellet hormone replacement (which has been fantastic for her) and it was 660, back when I first got my IPP implant Nov 2021, it was in the 880's and I was a lot more horny back then.

I did go to my primary care doc and it was also in the 660 range but he didn't want to prescribe me anything. :(

The VA won't do anything either with my testosterone in the 660 range. :(

I'm assuming that yours was low and the doc fixed you up with a prescription.

I don't have any problems having sex or climaxing, I just want to feel a higher libdo and get some mental alertness and energy also.

Appreciate any guidance you could give.

Thanks,
SWorks

i ordered cream for trt . and a fellow member here kindly pointed out that trt can cause "man boobs" due to increased estrogen . yikes :)
have any of you on trt experienced this or have taken precautions to stop it before it can happen ? "Estrogen blockers" in particular.

Man boobs from estrogen spike (regularly monitor blood) is treated using a drug class called aromatase inhibitors. This med blocks aromatase enzyme that converts androgens into estrogens. Lookup Anastrozole (brand name Arimidex). No need to take if estrogen is in normal range unless you want to bring it down to low normal. Has side effects (no free lunch lol).
