that's an interesting question. Since most guys on here are well past the age of being eligible to even join, probably hasn't come up very often. But I wonder if those already in the military are eligible to have one. Just googling it says it probably would be disqualifying though.

Copilot, let me see if I can get you an answer, my wife worked for Air Force Recruiting Head Quarters at Randolph Air Force Base before she retired, she has lots of connections.

I am active duty military and have one. However I got mine while already on active duty so I can't say if it would be a disqualifier for a potential recruit

Wolfpacker, what branch of service? Did you get a referral to see Dr Eid from TriCare Prime?

I had my IPP done at Lackland Ambulatory Surgical Center, Lackland Air Force Base, in San Antonio, Texas

CoPilot77, it looks like you will have to get a medical waver for the IPP.
If you go see a recruiter, don’t lie to them about anything with your body or if you’ve taken illicit drugs or been in trouble. If you’re up front with them, they will help you and try to get you in.
Some branches are more selective, especially the Air Force.

Good Luck,
PM me, if you want more answers
