31 Year Old Gets an Implant

Postby anon123 » Thu Jul 24, 2025 11:56 am

I struggled to get and maintain an erection my whole life. I confirmed it was veinous leak with ultrasound. 36 days ago I got the Titan implant. Here are some of my observations and concerns:

It really hurt the first couple weeks. I used a lot of narcotics. I don’t think of myself as having a low pain tolerance, and I think it was necessary to get some sleep. I was sleeping on average around 4-5 hours a night. I also had constipation and gas. I used over the counter stool softener and gas pills which helped but I wish I started those sooner. Imagine very bad painful gas on top of very painful penis and scrotum.

My pain in the first couple weeks was mainly in the penis. A sort of burning and throbbing. But after that I had and still have pain in the scrotum, especially where the tubing enters.

No complaints about flaccid or rigid length. Seems like it was before.

My biggest concern right off the bat was the kink or bend or curve in the penis. There was a kink near the base and the penis pointed to the right. The doctor said in the first few days it should resolve as the swelling goes down. I don’t actually think it had anything to do with swelling because I still have the kink, where the left side has a buckle or protruding piece of cylinder and the right side has an indentation. I saw the doctor a week and a half ago and he told me to cycle to try and resolve the buckle. That was the first time I inflated fully. I’ve been doing that daily twice a day since then. I haven’t noticed much improvement. Even when it’s fully inflated I see the right side dent still, although the left side looks good. There was no bend prior to surgery. Anyone have experience with this and willing to offer advice? Should I expect this to resolve if I continue aggressive cycling? Should I bend the penis in the opposite direction gently? Should I orient it a certain way in my underwear? Should I not fully deflate it?

I also was concerned with how stiff and rigid the penis was even when I deflated it. Last couple days I’ve been squeezing even harder during deflation however and I think that might help reduce size and stiffness, but it’s still more rigid than I expected. I read that it will soften with time and I hope that’s true. I’m still pointing the penis up in my underpants because of this.

Thankfully cycling does seem to be getting easier and less painful. Not sure how long I should be cycling but I really want the dent and buckle to resolve and for the cylinders to soften.

Unfortunately, while I think the doc I have did an okay job on the surgery he didn’t tell me early on that cycling might help resolve the bend. He is not very forthcoming and doesn’t seem to want to work with me to get the best outcome. It’s frustrating. He was more friendly prior to surgery.

Hoping to get some helpful advice from the community here. Thanks.

Hey man.

Sorry to hear that you're worried. Im 13 months out & can say that up until 10ish weeks post surgery mine was pointed left & had very notable dog ears + indentation on right when deflated/partially inflated. When inflated it would start pointing straighter. The indentation on left definitely improved for me with cycling to the point now that it's completely straight & smooth at full inflation. It slightly points left deflated now but better than it was early on for sure.

When I super cycle adding extra partial pumps I do get a small bump on the left side but it's improved vastly. I haven't seen my surgeon for a follow-up since activation around 6 weeks post surgery but I will eventually go again.

I think everything sorts itself out pretty well and all the concerns I had, which were several at 1-2 months post surgery, have gone away & improved. I imagine it will be the same for you. I remember being worried I should stow it differently earlier on but I honestly did nothing in terms of stowage & just let it sit comfortably. Everything ended up working out fine for me.

Be helpful if you update your signature and if the indentation is so worrisome to you I'd insist on seeing the surgeon. An uploaded pic could maybe help guys (including myself cuz I dealt with similar it sounds) see if they had it to your degree before & if so what happened as well.
Good luck brother

Thanks for the reply! I'm worried because I think the first few weeks after surgery are a critical time to encourage correct healing. The doctor told me that in a few weeks, cycling won't do anything to correct the bend/kink. Just want to do everything I can now while there's still hope of improving my long term outcome.

Can you try partially inflating so that there is some give to the cylinders, and palpating/massaging the indent in the cylinder and the area around it to try to correct it?

anon123, welcome to the bionic brotherhood ! Good advice from Jgoody and ElbowRoom above. FWIW, I've found that the best way to get a Dr's full attention is to make an appointment, and can usually see them sooner if it's a telemed with a flexible start time so they can work it around their schedule.

Thanks for chiming in. I will see the doctor again Tuesday. I guess I’m just lamenting the lack of consideration he shows for my concerns and for my desire to achieve the best outcome. He has a very “it is what it is” mentality. And I hope more for a doctor who is eager to work with me to make sure I get the best outcome. His staff is great, and very encouraging though which is nice.

I guess at this point the only thing I know to do is cycle at least twice a day. Hopefully I will see some improvement in the bend. I do notice continued improvement in pain and soreness. I’m off drugs completely now. Will report back here when I have more information. In the meantime, if anyone else has experience overcoming a bend/kink in the titan, I’d love to hear about your experience.

Saw my surgeon yesterday. He showed zero consideration for my concerns, and was rushing me out of the office in 10 minutes.

My main concern right now is the bend or buckle, and the dog ears or hard folds near the base. I’m also really struggling to get it to comfortably face down in my underwear. The tip is sensitive and it doesn’t really bend comfortably. Other than those things, I’m pretty happy with the appearance and functionality when it’s erect. Just some soreness and sensitivity still, but I’m confident that will fade.

I’m hoping that with time the device will soften and become less sensitive and I’ll learn how to happily live with it.

I’ve reached out to another urologic surgeon in town because I’m really unhappy with how my surgeon has been treating me post-op. Will try to see him for guidance and continued care.

Will update here as my journey progresses.

anon123, glad things are looking or feeling better for you. Will be anxious to hear how things go with a second opinion.
