I'm wondering would any one who would need an Artificial Urinary Sphincter if they would they allow a woman to do it because many women have leakage problems so a female doctor would have empathy.
Or is it more that we don't want a woman to see that?

Good point.
Yeah, I agree with you on the skill of high-volume implant surgeons, male or female; but, like OP said, there’s a level of intelligibility that I just don’t think a woman could understand being of a distinct physiology.
What about you? Would you be comfortable going with a woman?
I'm not sure, that's why I started the thread!![]()
I'd like to think I care about surgical skill above all else, but there is something to be said for the intangible of the surgeon knowing the equipment from a personal perspective.
I think if a female surgeon was high volume, and regarded as world class like Clavell, Eid, Hakky, Perito, etc...and had lots of rave reviews as those surgeons do on FrankTalk, I'd be okay with using a female surgeon.
I do find it interesting and a little strange that none of the top surgeons that regularly come up in implant discussions are female. Maybe it's harder for them to come up and get the number of surgeries in to be really high volume, because more men hesitate to use them as females?
There's an interesting social dynamic here, to be sure.

Or here's a thought: Maybe it's better to have a woman do a penile implant surgery. Lots of men do breast augmentations, and you could argue that a male surgeon can look at a pair of tits in the OR and say "oh yeah, those look good." Perhaps a woman implanting a male might be able to better gauge what our partners will like and/or find appealing in the bedroom.
Just a random thought!

Duke, I haven’t read through all the comments, but I don’t think anyone is saying women can’t be doctors. As to robots doing these surgeries, you’re absolutely correct, but we’ll all either be on our fourth implant or dead by the time that happens. Well, all of us except you malleable guys. Although I’m sure some of you will be deadThen we can all argue in hell.

She could easily do what she considers a great job and short you 1/4”. You could lose 1/4” length and girth and she might brag to her colleagues about how well that operation went. She just doesn’t fully understand men
