I just had my implant today and when I was in recovery the doctor and different nurses about care around the implant what do I do with the dressing? Gauze going around it and the small cloth protecting me from urine dripping. They all said look at your pamphlet, it has the information you require, it wasn’t. I guess probably remove all the gauze and small towel and replace it with new or something similar. Also, pre surgery they never told me to purchase a jock strap. Anyways, going to bed, I will probably sleep with tight underwear, and a washcloth on my back. When do I take a shower? Or clean around the wound

Bilko79, first, congrats on joining the bionic brotherhood ! We'll be anxious to hear how your recovery goes and the success of your journey.

IMHO -- if you don't find the information you need in the written information they provided, I believe you should call your Dr's office and ask for the on-call physician. That person should be able to review your specific chart and address the specific needs based on how your surgeon performed the procedure. I could answer your question(s) by saying "I think you should do this", or, "I think you should do that" -- but I would run the risk of telling you do do something that's contrary to what's needed for your specific condition and what the surgeon specifically needs for you to do for your recovery.

Take care and best wishes !

I’m just 3 days past surgery and there is no numbness for me just pain. I’m not sure how much he filled my cylinders, but I feel stretched to the max. My penis head is black and blue, my scrotum is so tight and my balls seemingly pushing up and out of the sac. I had PD prior to the surgery, but it is more pronounced now. I’m not sure it will straighten out once fully inflated. But for now, I don’t want to mess with it

I have very reduced sensitivity, but lack of sensitivity was one of the things that drove me to an implant. With such reduced feeling it was difficult to maintain erections. I felt further numbness after implant, to the point of not being able to orgasm. As I was already on that path it’s not necessarily the implant.
