Newly Bionic

Postby wowzer » Sat Jul 05, 2025 4:05 pm

Hi All,

So I found this group less than a week before my surgery - I have been waiting for an NHS urology appointment for years! I was on one waiting list for 19 months, and during that time, I relocated to another area so I explained that I was moving and asked is it best to move over to the new area if I wasn't likely to get seen etc. NO, have the 1st appointment and then they can move the subsequent ones to my new area I was told several times.

Do you think this happened? NO! i went to the appointment driving an hour and half (no biggie) the doctor didn't seem to care, he seemed in a rush, blamed all the delays on covid telling me well urogoly is last on this list of importance, got annoyed when I didn't let him check out my prostate (recently had surgery though private BUPA, apparently he couldn't see this because there was no notes, like that was my issue) baring in mine this isn't a rant I was making jokes about it all, I'm a light hearted guy at times :)

Fast forward to me having to start all over again in Feb 2024 for another referral and 1st appointment - this finally came on 13 June 25 - this time I was more direct. i want an implant, lets just get this over and done with. I had tried ED meds for years 1st trying in 2016 when I was 28. I didn't want to try pumps and injections etc so I went for it. i could still get erections to a degree, they just didn't last and rarely morning wood so I had little to loose.

By 23rd June I had a pre opp assessment and went in for surgery on 2nd july 2025.

Finally after all that waiting, I'm now implanted :) Ams 700 Inflatable Penile Prosthesis - 23cm - Spectra Penile Prosthesis Rear Tip Extender 5.0cm - Peter Grice & Vaibhav Modgil - Manchester, UK.
