You asked for an AMS and he refused?

I am so fortunate to have Dr Levine.

I'm not blaming you, but you should have gone with someone less arrogant.

I wish I had!

I think the Titan stretched out my width (which is why I originally thought an AMS would be better for my thinner penis) although I lost length as I have stated previously. Don’t know if my sensitivity will ever come back…?

i think having an unbiased opinion and offering both implants is key. I think the surgeons operating out of for profit systems/private practice typically have deals with certain implant companies to get more competitive price. Hence may be aligned with one company vs another. high volume surgeons at the big name hospitals typically don't have that since that are super busy and get paid the same either way (coloplast vs ams). just for thought.
62 year old, ED+PD, Coloplast Titan 22 cm no RTE in 2019 with Dr. Irwin Goldstein => failure, now with plaque excision/tunical expansion to Coloplast Titan 26 no RTE in 2022 by Dr. Darshan Patel, now with classic pump 2024 :D

I agree…the determination of which implant to use should be based on the patient’s individual body type and preference. Eid incorrectly states that AMS is ’only’ for men with small, narrow penises. Hundreds of men on this site can attest that is not the case….I had an average size, somewhat narrow penis. It’s like when a doctor or scientist is hired by a company to review or evaluate a product— they at the very least have confirmation bias and their ‘findings’ support whatever their patrons want.

My advice to other men is to go with a surgeon who has a record of using both types of implants.

Hi

The problem, according to Dr. Eid, is that I am auto inflating, and my penis is permanently partially inflated. He claims this will limit normal blood flow, which will lead to shrinkage of the penis. Frankly, I think he is full of shit. I’ve really lost confidence in him at this point. But him saying this and the way he did in such an offhanded way was really a devastating blow. I am now moving past it, and just trying to focus on the good of having a functioning penis, even though it was less than what I expected.

Thank you for wishing me well!

I saw that you commented on my post about auto inflation (thanks for the link to your post). I didn’t hear from that many men who keep the Titan inflated, but I had enough responses for me to believe that we’re both going to be okay!

What my doctor told me is still in the back of my mind, unfortunately, but, yes, I think we are going to be okay! Good luck

Re: Implanted by Dr. Eid; would I recommend him?

Postby Martin25 » Tue Jun 17, 2025 11:59 pm

I’ve had a couple of private messages lately from guys who are either considering Dr. Eid and asking me whether I would recommend him or, if they have used him, why I might not recommend him. Since I no longer login regularly (sorry for the late response to those guys) I thought I would try to give a general response here…

I basically tried to relate my experience as I was going through it, the later posts are some attempt at evaluating my whole experience, but it’s difficult to say straight out whether I recommend Dr. Eid or not. I did not have the best experience with him, and I was especially disappointed in his lack of empathy toward me and how he could be dismissive of my discomfort and how he lacked even basic information about the operation he had performed three days earlier and was unable to find a written record of it even weeks later. If I had to do it all over again? We never get to do anything over again, but I had no choice but to get an implant and I am still glad with my decision to get one. If I didn’t already live in New York, I would’ve gone with a younger surgeon like Dr. Clavell, who works with both implant manufacturers and decides on the best one based on the individual patient.

That said, I know there are guys who have been implanted by Dr. Eid recently, and they are very satisfied with their results…AND there are some guys who have gone with their local urologist and they are also satisfied. Eid was the only implant doctor I met with because I live nearby. So I would say that, even if you live in a city with a high volume surgeon, try to get a second or even third opinion, even if you have to do it remotely. That way, you are not just making a choice by default based on your location.

Sorry if this post isn’t so cut and dry, but these decisions aren’t so cut and dry either…

Once again, I thank all the other members who were so helpful in my early weeks of recovery… if you’ve exhausted other options, I think getting an implant is a good decision!

I'm glad you said this, I was thinking I was the only one with this problem. I have NO sensation on the shaft of my penis since the surgery, it's been several years. I can't orgasm at all fucking anyone I have to be sucked off basically and not everyone is good at that, so most times I never get to orgasm. Only SOME sensation at the tip of my glans otherwise my dick is a numb tool it really sucks. I guess it beats the alternative, I could never have penetrative sex before that, I immediately would go limp trying to insert my dick so I had never had the experience of fucking/topping before the implant.
