that's a big gap from 'its ok to i love it " so i didn't choose any selection .nothing beats a young raging blood filled boner .
But for me ,now at 60 plus having a malleable and not needing pills ,plus getting natural engorgement is very good . the only negative for me was the loss of girth ,but i gain half of that back when "I'm in the mood", well one other ,is my malleable does not hang at 3-oclock position . That would be better for showing off to the girlies if it did.
But one of the big positives with a malleable ,is if I'm in the mood mentally, there is no need to "get it up " . it already is and starts to thicken and ready for action.

Hey duke,
If you don’t mind my asking, what kind of erectile dysfunction did you have for twenty years that you still have good natural engorgement?
Thanks,
F1
These days, with the implant, when I'm very aroused I get good engorgement to the head and some extra girth around the implant. In the past, I could get an erection but couldn't keep it — and my anxiety about it made it even worse. And most of the time I couldn't get hard at all unless I took 100mg or more of Viagra, to which I quickly developed a tolerance. My erections were extremely inconsistent.
I see. So was the problem a venous leak, or purely psychological/anxiety mediated?
Primarily venous leak from blunt trauma due to a bicycle accident in 2010.
Born 1990. ED since age 20 after a bicycle accident. Coloplast Genesis malleable implanted December 2024. Read my implant journal here.

its a misconception that the body developes a tolerence to ED pills , the ED gets worse .
"While ED pills can improve erections, ED itself is a progressive condition, meaning it often gets worse over time. This is not a tolerance to the medication, but rather the underlying causes of ED, such as age-related decline, chronic illnesses, or lifestyle factors, are worsening"
I also didn't like taking them because over time, the side effects I experienced seemed to get worse. I had flushing, headaches, nausea, and occasionally something weird with my vision — sometimes blurriness, or slightly double vision.

Duke_cicero, that's exactly what happens with ED, it's a chronic condition, that get's worse and ED pills work less, cause one can't increase the dosage due to side effects, which you describe below
I also didn't like taking them because over time, the side effects I experienced seemed to get worse. I had flushing, headaches, nausea, and occasionally something weird with my vision — sometimes blurriness, or slightly double vision.
In cases like mine, where I got a mini stroke and when you develop an atherosclerosis, it's contraindicated to take them at all.
So all together, an implant is the best treatment for ED and in my opinion not "the last" treatment.
All the best

tadalifil gave me horrible heartburn . it gave me erections ,but in the middle of the night i would kneel on the floor to try to stop the heartburn . and as time went by . the heartburn would spring up over every little thing . im glad to not have that to deal with anymore .

I tried Cialis ONCE and experienced horrible sides within, maybe, twenty minutes—debilitating stomach cramping, loss of hearing in right ear, and dilated pupil (photosensitivity) in left eye. Fortunately, all sides were temporary, but took about two weeks to subside.
Fuck that poison. And I didn’t even BEGIN to inject my dick with Trimix. Tried everything else though.

I also have bad reactions to tadalafil. I was taking 5mg daily and it was bad, once i even fainted. I had a headache and light headeness 24/7 when i was taking the daily dose.
However, Sildenafil worked always much better for me. It lasts only 4hs so the side effects were also constrained to that time. Except heartburn which can last longer, but heartburn was ussually if i take it on an empty stomach.

I'm sorry, but I disagree Dan. If the implant situation goes bad and you can't be reimplanted then you face total fibrosis of your corporal bodies. None of the other treatments have that devastating end scenario.
I think one thing that is missing in the conversation is that it is okay to be impotent. And impotence with a naturally aging penis is going to be far more comfortable than facing impotence with total fibrosis of your corporal bodies.
Born 6/15/74. I have substantial venous leak with fairly severe hour-glassing, but no hard plaques. My urologist is Dr. Laurence Levine who performed a Doppler Ultrasound and diagnosed me with VL in 2020. Surgery scheduled for Coloplast Genesis 5/19/25

Mark,
you are right on the fact, that it might go bad and you end-up with revisions and so on. The percentage of failures is however very low if you make a good research and go with a high volume implanter.
And why should that be "more comfortable"?

The side effect of reduced ability to ejaculate worries me a bit. I already take SSRI's for depression and it's already kind of hard to finish with PIV. Who knows though I guess
Aussie, by ejaculation, do you mean orgasm? or do you mean tybehe sperm actually coming out of your penis?
I know it is possible to orgasm without ejaculating and vice versa.
Do you already have an implant? if so, which one?
Regarding satisfaction rates, this survey so far is showing that about 30% of people are not very happy with their implant (only 70% say they love it). To me this is a more realistic number than the claimed "90%+" by doctors and manufacturers.
Hi mate,
I meant i cant orgasm, i believe it's called Anorgasmia, it's a common side effect of SSRI's unfortunately
I don't have an implant yet, i have my first consult with a high volume implanter here in Australia next month, i won't be able to do anything about it until April next as i have to wait for my insurance waiting period. I guess it gives me time to think about things and maybe do some more testing.
With the Poll, in hindsight i wished i had maybe worded it all differently. Like some of people that have posted here have mentioned, it doesn't factor in the age of the implantee, amount time that they have the implant, the type of implant they went with(IPP or MPP?). Theres also a good argument for the idea that the people on this forum don't make up a true representation of satisfaction rates, as in a lot of people come here because they have problems whilst a lot of guys that are happy are just out there living there life.
I also wish we could see who voted for what, unfortunately that wasn't an option when creating the poll
Aussie, check your PM's if you can
