You are I are recently implanted and are having serious doubts about what we have done. My dick is numb and I can’t have an orgasm. The thought of spending the rest of my life this way (after cancer, years of ED, suffering through all of the fucked up “remedies” like injections and the pain of the implant completely messes) with my head. Having said that, people on this forum have repeatedly told me that things will get better and the numbness will resolve. I have no choice but to believe them that this will get better and that someday I will have a working dick and a robust sex life with the woman that I love. What choice do we have? All of my anger at this point is directed at the medical implant industry which in my opinion, provides absolutely no support for people like you and I … the 20% who wind up with numb dicks. They should be at our sides, giving us encouragement and counseling us as to how we can best improve our chances of a positive outcome. They are not and seemingly want nothing to do with people who have less than perfect results. The fact that we have to resort to an Internet forum to figure out what is happening to us is a disgrace. I will try to stay positive and I encourage you to do the same.

I feel for you guys, it's really a dilemma and a bad situation to be in both physically and emotionally. Have you thought about seeing a therapist about this? Just talking through it for a few sessions with an objective professional might go a long way to helping get out of your head about it and deal with the anger and frustration.

Osprey_1, I posted above, and still believe getting assessed by a neurologist is a reasonable next step. They may tell you it's too early in your recovery to assess. They may tell you that it would be helpful to test and establish a baseline to compare against a couple months from now. They may tell you they can help right now. Or they may tell you that they can't help you at all. Regardless, if their response provides some guidance and/or peace of mind I'd think it would be worth it.

In the mean time, the only other thought is along the lines of making the most of what physical sensation, and libido drive, you have.
And as I always say, you must check anything like this with your urologist, PCP, and any other healthcare provider you rely on for your health.

To that end, below are some "helpers" for making the most of it:

Regarding the peniscrotal approach and risk for nerve damage, I had the peniscrotal method and am completely numb except for one patch. I don’t think that the issue is the severing of the nerve bundle above the peniscrotal. I simply wish a medical professional would tell us what exactly is happening g.

No, it is an inflatable. When I last saw Carrion, I told him I was numb and worried. It was before I was approved for sex. He simply said, “no infection, symmetry good, good circulation, you are fine.” He refused to acknowledge my issue.

Are you planning to do a followup with him? Or can you reach out to him?
