I had my operation done 15 days ago and feel quite disappointed with the way my penis tilts and has looked following the surgery. I got a malleable implant through the infrapubic incision (Coloplast Genesis) and attached pictures of what I am referring to for reference.
Maybe it's too early to tell, but I feel that my penis is not hard enough for sex and it tilts/swells a bit to the right on the underside of the penis. I'm also still sore (though pain has gone down) but still find it difficult to sleep (get soreness/aches in the scrotal/perineum area at night).I'm also still on antibiotics, since part of my incision looked infected.
I was told swelling could take a few weeks to heal. But thus far, I am wondering if I should give it a bit more time to heal or try to find another surgeon for a second opinion.
If anyone experienced misplaced rods or something similar I'd love to hear how they managed this. Thanks in advance

Improperly placed malleable rods (?)
Re: Improperly placed malleable rods (?)
15 days after surgery is not long enough for the bruising or swelling to go down. I have a Rigicon and it took months before it ever looked or felt normal as normal is .. I think when you have surgery on your penis you have to expect a "new" normal.
Rigicon since 6-2023 happy to share my experience and do show and tell

Give it 6 more weeks before you start drawing conclusions, but I bet you'll be fine.

Re: Improperly placed malleable rods (?)
well hey there sugar, bless your brave lil heart for ridin out that rodeo, gettin them malleable rods put in like my good ol Genesis, through that fancy infrapubic route? shoot, that is a whole lotta medical mumbo jumbo just to say we done some serious tinkerin down yonder. now look here, 15 days out? darlin that is still baby steps in surgery land. that pecker of yours is still tryin to figure out which way is up, down, and due west, so a lil leanin, twistin, and puffin up like a pissed off possum? well that is just part of the ride. now if you are feelin some achin at night and that skin is lookin redder than aunt maes face at sunday bingo, you go on and keep takin them antibiotics like you were told, but do not play cowboy with an infection, alright? and that tilt you are seein? might just be swellin or your meat gettin used to the new hardware, it aint always a straight shooter right out the gate. give it a few more weeks, let the bruisin calm down, let the good lord and them antibiotics do their work. but now listen close, if that feller is still actin like a soggy noodle, or one rods pokin out like it is tryin to hail a cab, well then it might be time to holler at a real deal pecker mechanic, i mean a urologist that does these implants all day long, not just someone dabblin between colonoscopies. maybe they will snap a pic inside with an x ray or one of them fancy MRI and ultrasounds and make sure nothins gone catawampus.you are doin real good, friend, and i reckon you are tougher than a two dollar steak. just do not suffer in silence or let pride get in the way of makin sure everythings lined up the way the good lord and coloplast intended. now take it easy, keep that area clean, and remember, every crooked road still leads home, sometimes even the ones pointin slightly to the right.

WHAT A LAUGH
1955. I have had ED for years. We were going for a Rigicon Infla10 in October 2024. Life got in the way (heart attack & stent), so we are now going for injections as a fill-in.

Re: Improperly placed malleable rods (?)
What you have looks like distal lymphedema (donut swelling). This is expected if you have some excess or looser distal foreskin. Elevation of penis up by sitting on a recliner chair or lying down on your back will facilitate lymphatic drainage back to your lymph nodes in your groin. Give it more time, 6 to 8 weeks should allow for improvement of swelling, pain and soreness.
The torsion and lean to one side occur because the axis and center of gravity of your corpora may not be perfectly symmetrical with the internal forces and position of the rods. The rods might have been placed in a slightly asymmetrical geometry, as illustrated in the picture (forgive me if it looks like crayon art by a toddler). This looks normal, as surgeons don’t insert rods with precision robots. Of course, those who handle malleables too frequently master the techniques over time, but they’re still mortal humans and imperfection is inevitable.
When you have sex after 6-8 weeks, apply water based lube and lift the penis with hand and put it in. Keep us posted brother. Your penis looks great!
