I'm now just over 12 weeks post op, so I'll do another update as it seems like it should be a milestone of some sort.
Pain and discomfort have continued to improve and now mostly negligible when going about routine activities.
The penoscrotal incision scar has all but completely healed visually. Any residual discomfort usually comes from that area though.
My surgeon told me that he used three layers of dissolving sutures, one external and two internal, and they can take many months to fully heal/disappear. That seems to be a common surgical practice for penile prostheses from what I've read, but he seems to pride himself on an almost zero infection rate and I wonder if the multiple stitch layers also help with that strategy. I also still have numbness underneath my shaft from the near the incision site to about halfway up. It hasn't been a major issue as I have sensation in both the frenulum and glans, and most of the shaft. I have noticed some minor improvement, and I'm hoping it eventually resolves as I think it will be better overall. I know some guys have reported poor outcomes with numbness and my thoughts are with them, hoping they see a resolution.
I'm continuing with a fairly aggressive cycling regime. Still doing two daily 15 minute sessions, morning and evening, and most days a long session during the day aiming for an hour at full inflation. The long session isn't always possible due to various commitments but I'm probably doing that 5 days out of 7 most weeks. I can now go a full hour without tapping out but the last 10-15 minutes can be uncomfortable, and there is some post deflation pain that lasts up to 5 minutes or so before fading into mild soreness. My MS pump is getting softer and I can easily press it for up to about 40 pumps, which is more or less full inflation. After that the bulb becomes stiffer again but I can still get many more "mini pumps" in, and I can feel the effects of those as my dick becomes extremely hard.
Anyway the cycling seems to be paying off, and I'm hoping the cylinders are stretching to the limits of my anatomy. My rough measurements now have me at what I think was my original erect length, possibly slightly longer. Girth I haven't really measured yet but visually it looks similar to my recollection, and flaccid I had already gained length dramatically. Once I have better measuring tools I'll report some actual numbers.
PIV sex is getting better each time. We had a break of nearly 2 weeks due to a UTI and fungal infection but have been back in action since early last week. I no longer slip out and can maintain thrusting almost indefinitely without becoming uncomfortable. I'm now getting short of breath long before my dick needs a break! I probably need to work on my aerobic fitness a bit more. But the main hurdle I'm now facing is that I can only orgasm sometimes, and I can take a really long time to climax when I do. It's a double edged sword, as I'm really enjoying the sensation of fucking endlessly, but my wife has back problems and she can't go for as long as me.
I've now resumed pretty much all pre-op activities and went for my second bike ride today. It was better than the first one a few weeks ago. This time I felt much more comfortable in the saddle and had no post ride saddle soreness. I've been trying to get back into a routine with that, but poor weather or some other competing priority have often thwarted my plans recently.
Overall I'm still really happy with how things are going and I think I can now see the "new normal" on the horizon.
I'm hoping that 6 months post op is a reasonable guess as to when I might get there.
