Does this sound like I am oversized?

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions in my earlier post about not being to inflate on right side.

I think I’ve found a way to deflate the right side better (Coloplast Titan One Touch). I yank the deflate button to the left and then press it while squeezing out the shaft. It sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. But it’s better than what it was.

The issue still hasn’t fixed the permanent pain and discomfort from the semi on. The doctor thinks it is not unusual and basically said I will get used to it to the pain and not notice it prob after three months.

Given I am almost a week away from week 7 I have my doubts and reading more up last night am now wondering if I have been oversized.

What is leading me to think this are:

1. I was about 5.5” before ED, after 10 years of ED I was about 4.5”. The implanted cylinders are 18 cm with a 1 cm tip - so 19 cm in total. The notes indicate that the corporal measurements on both sides are 19 cm (both 10 cm proximal and 9 cm distal). [How often do surgeons get this wrong though?]

2. The constant pain in my groin which is painful enough that I can’t really focus for long on anything else, even with pain meds. Makes trying to focus on work, moving around, bending etc. really awkward and painful.

3. Even deflated my penis is much girthier and longer than before.

4. Right after surgery I noticed that the penis now skews permanently to the right (was always fairly centred) and this has not improved.

5. The only time I don’t feel discomfort is when I am lying down in my back (which is how I sleep now having always been a side sleeper before the op).

I accept that the Titan cylinders are less flexible than the AMS but it’s the pain that is my concern - it has been constant since having the surgery.

Does this sound like an oversizing issue to anyone here?

if you have constant pain on the tips of the implant then maybe yes you maybe are a bit oversized.

But at the moment you cant and dont need to worry much for two very simple reasons:
- the pain may go away in 2-3 months post-op
- even if the pain will not go away, if you need to do a revision you will have to wait at least 4-5 months

Keep in mind that the tissue are living organism and may stretch to accomdate a slightly larger implant

Yesterday i did my first pumps (3,5 weeks post-op) and since then i have a some of a searing pain within my penis here and there.
I am pretty sure I am not oversized.
I have noticed that my penis became a lot smaller of the last 3,5 weeks.. from around 4.9 inch a few days after surgery to around 4 inch yesterday..
When i did my first pumps my penis "exploded" to around 5.5 inches.. So i believe it´s somehow normal to have some pain even weeks after, because the tissue gets irritated and maybe hurt a bit when you inflate it and you were smaller than you usually are for a while.
Like a dried up sponge that has some stuff inside that need to break up to get to the original size again. and of course that can hurt a bit..
At least thats my explanation.
For now I am just sitting here with this pain, but iam confident it will go away soon.

So even your case is a different, i think having some pain even weeks after surgery isn´t something to worry about as long as it´s on a tolerable scale.

I had to change the titan touch because I had been oversized, I had pain from the first day, the doctor said it will pass, it never passed, doctors never admit they were wrong, after 2,3 years I managed to get a replacement with ams cx, the cx has an erection as hard as the titan, but it is soft and comfortable in our body, for a few years I think that coloplast gives more money to doctors who implant titan, up to 18 cm of distal penis I think it is better to put cx, beyond that I think titan is more suitable, because the shorter the penis, the harder the erection becomes when it is swollen, even if the implant is soft like ams, in any case the cx is not soft at all when erect, as the friends in the posts above said, at this stage you can do nothing but wait, if it doesn't pass within 6 months I can tell you from personal experience that you have been oversized, I am at 8, weeks and 3 days, I can stay with the swollen penis for even 4 hours and not it hurts, I'm doing 2 cycles a day staying swollen 1.5/2 hours at a time, for this aggressive cycle that I'm doing, now even the little numbness is passing, now for me it's all downhill, hang in there and let's hope it resolves itself without a replacement, I wish you the best

lifetimetmser, there is nothing wrong with getting a second opinion. I do it all the time for lots of things. If you have doubts, I would encourage you to get a second opinion if for no other reason than to set your mind at ease.

Several top surgeons have said in videos they "gently upsize" patients, meaning they use the absolute largest implant they can safely.

It sounds like that might be the case with you. 7 weeks is still early, I don't think you should assume a problem unless you have symptoms beyond pain. Just IMO, I'm no surgeon...but some others have said they have pain in various locations well into 6 months or more.

Has your surgeon weighed in with an opinion?

1- To answer your questions. 19cm is totally reasonable for a 5.5 inch size penis.
2- Pain in the groin is also relatively normal. I have it as well on my left side but its getting better gradually. Do you have pain on both sides of the groin or only 1?
3- You should be grateful your penis is longer than your normal natural size, most guys don't get that
4- The penis going constantly to the right is the only thing that might be suspicious from the things you mentioned. Is one tip higher on your glans than the other?. One possible symptom of a perforation is when the penis leans to one side and one cylinder appears shorter than the other (even if they are both the same size), because a proximal perforation could make one cylinder go deeper on one side. However, it is likely that this is not a perforation and you are totally fine. I have pain in the same place you have, on my groin, and i can verify by MRI that the placement is correct. Honestly, you could even feel it by yourself with your hands if you follow the rear tip to see if both rear tips seem equal.

From all the things you mentioned, the leaning to one side is the only thing that seems weird to me (assuming your penis was perfectly straight before the surgery). Just in case ask your doctor about that

2. The pain is mostly on right side (was told most of the tubing is there). It also hurts on that side if I push my dick upwards.
4. It doesn’t feel like the tip is higher on either side. Yes it was perfectly straight before.

I think most of the pain is from the pressure of having to squash it down when I wear trousers as it is semi erect even when flaccid.

The surgeon has said it is all normal. But then the surgeon also said I would probably be playing sports again at 6 weeks…

Good to know about the “upsize”.

The main problem is that I can’t realistically see myself going into the office until I am able to sit comfortably in trousers for at least an hour or two at a time (desk based job) and I think that is going to have an impact on my career…

Thank you - I think I will do this. Will not be cheap but will be worth it for the peace of mind…can’t stop worrying / thinking about this.
