Suggested underwear for post implant surgery

Postby BillyBob51 » Wed Feb 28, 2024 10:46 pm

 I'm getting an AMS implant end of Mar. I read about underwear and ice pacs that might help to lesson the pain and swelling. Someone said they found underwear or jock straps that held ice pacs. Any suggestions if you've used any?

Whatever you do...make sure you don't put the ice pack against your skin. The ice packs are great to use for healing. The video I saw, doctor said to get underwear that has a penis hole. That allows your dick to stay out of your underwear and balls stay in.

I wore a jock with a wide 3" waistband just a little low on my hips. The jock kept my balls in place and my penis was pinned against my abdomen by the 3" waistband. Add a baby sock to the head peeking over the top and you have all the makings for an inappropriate puppet show.

HI, I tried several types. I had tight ones that held the scrotum up but not well. So I got tight ones that also went down my legs about 2". Bingo that worked. I never had to let my Penis hang out of a hole. I was 50% inflated so it wanted to remain up. If it hurts against your body, you can cut it to free it up. I just placed some gauze between penis and abdomen. I can say my comfortable position never remains the same. Sometimes you need to hang free and others, you need the tight underwear. Good luck.

My choice was boxer briefs. A jock strap was too tight, made me hurt. The briefs are comfy, semi snug.
At night I used satin boxers. Those kept me from tangling up in the covers, made it easier to roll.

I found the double underwear worked well in the first 6 weekks - underneath i had Sepertec and over it wore looser boxers with a wide waistband. I was able to tuck the penis under the waistband to keep it up for most of the time, but if getting uncomfortable or just needing a break, I would just release it from the waistband (still keeping the scrotum tight with the sepertec).
Radical Prostatectomy in 2015; failed pills, straight to Coloplast Titan in 2019 by Dr. Valenzuela in NYC, Replaced with AMS 700 CX in 2022 by Dr. Darshan Patel in San Diego, CA. Wish I jumped to an implant even before prostate cancer!
