Postby Jamie123 » Thu Jan 18, 2024 9:36 am

Hello I have a Titan implant and wanted abdominal liposuction. Any chance of infection or complications?

I’m interested to know as well- my guess would be to call your surgeon.

Always some risk of infection from any kind of surgery. As with implant choose a Dr that has a great track record and is a high volume in his craft. Definitely mention your implant , but if in the rare event you did get an infection there shouldn’t be much of a risk that it would or could spread to your implant. Dr can give you a better idea of the % of risk but I see no issue at all. I had a major fall into a hatch in my boat two weeks before my scheduled implant. Broke my arm, tore my biceps completely loose from upper bone, broke three ribs and tore 3 other rotator muscles. This required a very extensive surgery about 10 days before my implant. I asked both drs if it would be ok to go ahead w the implant, and both said it should be no issues at all except for the discomfort of the shoulder and positioning of my are in a sling during the implant. I went ahead with the implant and now 21 months later still no issues with either.
58year old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong and loving it!

Thank you . Spoke to my implant surgeon and he was worried about infection to implant but can’t see how that’s possible

A good surgeon and facility keep infection rates to a minimum.

As a recipient of both liposuction and abdominoplasty (tummy-tuck) my main concern would be edema. When guys get any abdominal surgery, the scrotum is the place it loves to collect. It's not a threatening complication, but it sure as hell is annoying.
