Are you back home?

The first week is the hardest by far, the second week is much easier, but still tough.

Week 3 is a piece of piss.

Keep yourself occupied (I found gaming distracted me) , keep on top of the drugs, use them when you need them.

I extended my hotel stay since I figured I cant walk a lot once the pain med wears off.

Sent an email to my surgeon with the progress. He offered to refill the Oxycodone for 3 more days.
Plan is to rest till Tuesdsay afternoon and then head home. Will be working from home another week. The pain is kind of cyclical...I guess rest, food, medicines are only option. Icing too.

if you are flying, call the airline and let them know you would like to have an escort and wheelchair. I believe they provide that service for no charge.

Good luck

Take him up on the drugs, the pain is not linear, as someone else said. It can come back quite intensely if you over do things.

Especially when it comes to sleeping, which you will need to heal!

Better to have and not use. But I bet you will.

even though my flight journey from Miami to Newark was difficult (specially the last 45 mins in flight) I feel I healed much better when I was at home and on a familiar bed.

I would encourage you to try go home soon if possible. Healing at home is better.

Take care. First 3 weeks are the toughest. This shall pass!

Good man.

I would time the pain needs such that you will be under their affect when you travel.

I took a ride in a car after a few days, the bumps were difficult.

Squatting was required at times!

You'll be fine.
